Very nice, well-organized, the buses are nice, etc. but a) a person 180 cm (6ft) tall doesn’t have enough legroom, b) ac makes it a bit too cold.

Great transport option from Koh Tao to Bangkok, would use again. The check in spot was easy to find, and instructions in the ticket were clear. Staff at the check in counter and on transport were friendly and helpful. During the switch from ferry to bus I was well taken care of too and even had dinner (pad Thai or fried rice) included in the cost of the ticket. The boat is a bit bumpy but very manageable, bus seats were as comfortable as bus seats can be! But did recline which was nice for a late night trip. Overall very happy, especially for the cheap price compared to flights from Koh Samui.

We booked tickets to Bangkok from Koh Tao, which was described as a 10hr ferry trip, so we assumed most of the route will be in the ferry, but we changed into a bus in Chumphon after 3 hours or so. Both parts of the trip were comfortable, but due to unclear descriptions it was a bit confusing.

The ferry ride was about 2 hours. When we got off, there was a big area with lots of seating and different food options so you can have lunch. There are also free toilets. Here, we waited for the bus for around an hour. You will get a coloured sticker based on your ticket, and when the bus is here they will put the corresponding coloured sign next to your bus so you know which one to board. The bus was an excellent experience. We booked VIP which is 100% worth it. We had so much leg room and the chairs were large and comfy. We also had usb charging points next to our seats. The bus provided a bottle of water, an orange juice and a custard tart. They also gave a blanket. The journey was smooth and comfortable, however did take a few hours longer than expected. I would really recommend this journey and highly recommend that you book VIP.
