Bangkok to Hua Hin Destination Reviews

Asking to be there 1/2 hour before the appointment when people arrive 3/4 hours later is dishonest. The price charged is exaggerated for dropping people off at an official mini-bus center in Bangkok. 520 bath for an official mini-bus price of 95 bath is organized theft.

Terminal was clean. Travel instructions were clear and boarding was very easy.
Train #171 2nd Class Sleeper AC, Thai Railway (การรถไฟแห่งประเทศไทย), Oct 26, 2023
Its probably the best way to get around. I booked the second class with aircon and the temperature was just right. I had a stranger sitting across from me and we kept the seats as they were but next time I’ll ask to turn it into bunk beds so we could stretch out our legs. But overall spacious with plenty of space even for my big suitcase, and walking space.

Private Transportation is the best, no going to the airport or bus station, no loading and unloading, no silly stops unless you want them.
taxi SUV 4pax, BangkokTaxi24, Oct 8, 2023
The bus appeared to be overbooked but a second bus was made available!
Van Minibus, Nor Neane Transport (ณ.เณรการเดินรถ), Oct 4, 2023
The car was very run down. Terrible suspensjon and seats worn out. This car belongs in the scrapyard! I have driven this route many times before, but this was by far the worst minivan I have ever been in. By the wa, I took the minivan leaving at 12.00 not 13.00.
Van Minibus, Nor Neane Transport (ณ.เณรการเดินรถ), Sep 25, 2023
Seats were great, but it was really hot in the train. Next time airco.

Train is a often a great choice for long-haul travel especially if you opt for a night sleeper train with berths which will allow you to sleep all your journey through. To make the most of your train journey, choose the class of your ticket wisely.

Note that there are air-conditioned and fan-only carriages; private compartments for 2 or 4; hard and soft seats.
Though the upper class you get the smoother is your journey, often second class air-conditioned or fan-only sleepers are a good money saving alternative.

Vans are a great alternative - or, in many cases - your only option - if you need to travel overland within one and the same province or neighbouring provinces or states. Vans ply the roads between Bangkok and Hua Hin, too.

Things to remember: When travelling by van with huge luggage buying a separate seat for your suitcase or backpack is a good idea. Do not expect there is a roomy luggage compartment in a van - there is actually none and your fellow passengers are unlikely to appreciate your luggage stuck under their feet, alas.
