Lo mejor de viajar en autobús es que puedes hacer que el viaje se adapte a tus necesidades en términos de comodidad y privacidad. Suelen tener literas o asientos que son anchos, blandos y reclinables, y a veces se ofrecen masajes incluidos, mantas, refrescos y aperitivos, o comidas más abundantes, bien sea a bordo del autobús o durante las paradas para ir al baño o reabastecer el combustible. Viajar en un autobús nocturno te permite ahorrar el precio de una habitación de hotel. Sin embargo, para que el trayecto sea lo más cómodo posible, hay que elegir bien la clase del autobús. Para algunos viajes, aunque sean más cortos, vale la pena invertir un poco más de dinero y comprar un billete de autobús VIP, ya que a veces estos emplean la mitad del tiempo que tardaría un autobús normal para llegar al mismo destino.

Las Ventajas de Viajar en Autobús
- El autobús es la mejor opción para llegar a lugares a los que no llega el tren o el avión. La red de autobuses cubre prácticamente todo el país, y a menudo las rutas han estado bien establecidas desde hace tiempo.
- A diferencia de los viajes en avión o en tren, cuando se viaja en autobús no es necesario llegar a la estación con mucha anticipación. El check-in, incluso para las rutas internacionales, no toma mucho tiempo. Los límites de equipaje suelen ser bastante convenientes para el viajero, y la tarifa por equipaje extra, si hay límites establecidos, generalmente no es muy alta.
- Los billetes de autobús casi siempre son más económicos que los de avión o tren rápido. Los diferentes tipos de autobús se adaptan a todos los bolsillos. Los autobuses estándar, que son más baratos, pueden ser un poco lentos y no brindar el máximo confort, pero en todo caso son aceptables y te llevarán a tu destino. Para los trayectos más largos, los autobuses casi siempre tienen baño o, si no, hacen paradas para ir al baño, y el precio suele incluir aperitivos, agua y, a veces, artículos de aseo y mantas.
- Si estás dispuesto a pagar más, hay autobuses VIP que tienen asientos parecidos a los de la clase business de un avión: asientos reclinables, anchos y blandos. A menudo, las mantas están incluidas, hay menos pasajeros y muchas otras ventajas que harán de tu viaje una experiencia placentera.
Desventajas de los Viajes en Autobús
- Las nuevas terminales interurbanas de autobuses suelen estar fuera de la ciudad, cerca de grandes autopistas, para evitar la congestión urbana. Esto puede crear dificultades para los viajeros. Llegar a una terminal de este tipo puede ser problemático, ya que en algunas terminales hay restricciones en cuanto a los tipos vehículos que pueden entrar, y hay que utilizar transportistas especiales para llegar allí. Esto podría acarrear mayores costos si los precios están inflados. Calcula tiempo extra si viajas en horas punta, especialmente si no estás familiarizado con la situación del tráfico local.
- Los autobuses son probablemente el medio de transporte que menos se ajusta a los horarios previstos, comparado a los trenes y a los aviones. Los autobuses dependen en gran medida de la situación de las carreteras, que a veces es impredecible (accidentes, obras, desvíos, etc.). Esto ocurre sobre todo los fines de semana, en temporada alta y fiestas nacionales. Tenlo en cuenta y no planifiques conexiones demasiado apretadas.
- Para viajar en determinadas rutas o durante los periodos más concurridos es recomendable reservar con anticipación. Recuerda que no siempre es posible llegar a la estación y subirse al próximo autobús: puede que los billetes estén agotados, así que organiza tu viaje con tiempo.

Suliana MEl autobús no sólo salía tarde, sino que los conductores eran muy maleducados y no hablaban inglés. Pararon dos veces de Split a Zagreb para fumar. Ambos descansos fueron de 30 minutos, así que llegamos 2 horas tarde a Zagreb. Muy decepcionado ya que perdí mi autobús de conexión.
Habríamos llegado a tiempo si no hubieran sido perezosos y se hubieran ceñido al horario del autobús. Está bien si tienes un descanso de 10 minutos para fumar pero no un descanso de 1 hora en total cuando pagamos por un viaje en autobús que no nos lleva a nuestro destino hasta 2 horas más tarde.

Ne poštivanje voznog reda; komunikacija sa vozačem na isključivo engleskom jeziku u hrvatskoj nije prihvatljiva budući osim turista ima i naših ljudi. Anonymous It is not COVID restriction time anymore. Please, for the sake of comfort of all passengers, open up the toilets on the buses. I often travel from Zagreb to Pula and the bathroom is either locked or it is broken and therefore locked. This is especially an imperative for older passengers, such as myself; and, it would be most reassuring to know that one does not have to practice deep breathing exercises before reaching a rest stop. The Zagreb to Pula route has only one or two rest stops at the most. That is fine for the 3 hour and 20 minute journey, but not for the 5 hour trek. I suspect that the bus companies are trying to cut corners, so as to not incur the modest expense of maintaining the toilets. Shameful. However, my driver on the Nomago 12:25 pm September 28th journey from Zagreb to Pula was courteous, competent and not at all like the usual nicotine-addicted, surly and rude Croatian drivers; those who also love to play bad Croatian music very loud on the speakers. Right guess: he was a foreign worker.

Anonymous I had booked two tickets online the day before and was sent an e-ticket with a QR code on it. When I got onto the bus, the driver would not accept it and said he only accepted a paper ticket. I had to then buy two more tickets directly from him. These tickets were much cheaper than the ones I had bought online. I had wasted around 20 euros buying two online tickets that couldn’t be used.

Anonymous I should just have flown. Look, it was fine. The bus was clean, there was aircon (which made a nice change from the majority of the trains) and the driver seemed safe. It got the job done. The seats are incredibly cramped and I wasn't even able to open a laptop on my lap. I'd hoped to work while on the trip but it wasn't possible with the depth between seats. I also booked this option from the site because it was a shorter ride than some of the other buses to this destination. Unfortunately it took nearly double the time stated due to traffic. I realise this ain't the fault of the bus or company, but it would have been nice to have realistic expectations of the duration of this journey to better decide between the bus or plane.

Anonymous To He'll and Back. Nothing. Going on a bus trip for 4 to 5 hours is akin to going into combat. When was the last time the shock absorbers were checked on these busses? The intervals between rest stops are too short, and often the bus driver takes off without checking If everyone is back aboard. Blow the damn horn. Yes, it is right there in the middle of the steering wheel. Duh. Everything. Once again, and for more times than I can remember, please tell the drivers to turn off the music blaring over the loudspeakers above every passenger's head. If they need to listen to this noise, to keep awake, then they can do so at a moderate volume near them as they drive. For many years, I have had to endure the worse yodeling, off key belting, third-rate rock anthems and other assorted cacophony associated with what is loosely called "music" in this country. While you are asking for feedback (of which you never directly address other than the anodyne response of "Thank you for your comments..we are..always..looking to..improve..blah,blah, blah.) Sometimes, I imagine all of you sitting around a table reading complaints and laughing at how upset customers are, all the while knowing nothing will change. We know you don't care. However, since you asked, why are the toilets always locked in the bus? The COVID restrictions have long since passed. Open them up!

Anna Rude driver screeming to all, huge delays. Rude driver took time to scream at almost all the passengers while verifying tickets, arrived at the origin 10 minutes late, but arrived to the destination 50 minutes late. (Out of 2h drive, without traffic) All due to his waist of time screaming at people and creating agressiveness in a what is supposed to be a normal and smooth situation. Many people lost their flights.

Anonymous Mayhem. We arrived at our destination safely and on time. Our Nomago bus did not arrive at gate 4 at departure time as per our ticket details and there was no one on the stop to assist. An Arriva bus did arrive at gate 28 adjacent to our gate and the non English speaking driver acknowledged and confirmed our tickets as my wife boarded. There were twice as many passengers queuing to board as could be accommodated and I was not able to stow our luggage and board as the driver was overwhelmed by passengers trying to get on. He filled the bus and closed the door while not acknowledging my wife gesturing him to myself standing at the door with our luggage. The driver prepared himself to leave while my wife and myself and several other boarded passengers protested and finally he got off and opened the cargo doors for me to stow our bags and board. Mayhem! Also, other passengers who purchased tickets that morning were charged a tenth of the price we paid for our pre booked fare.

Anonymous Very rude bus driver. The journey from Trieste (Italy) to Poreč (Croatia) with the Brioni bus company is pretty fast. Today (2 June 2024) I've taken the Brioni Bus from Trieste to Poreč as I already have many times in the past, but this time there was a bus driver I have never seen before. He was very rude not just to me but to some other passengers as well. When I arrived at the station I greeted him and told him I was going to Poreč (I had to repeat it twice). He didn't say hello at all and said: "and, should I guess who you are?" That's very inappropriate behavior, I was just about to show him my ticket. And then at 11:00 he starts the engine to leave the station, makes a few meters and stops because there were 2 passengers who came late and we're waiving. The 2 passengers entered the bus and apologized as they had trouble finding the bus to which he replied: "the bus departure is at 11:00 and it's always from here! He yelled at them "stop, stop", "out, out"! Again, very rude and aggressive behavior. He eventually went out the bus with them to put their luggage and let them on the bus to travel to Croatia. I don't know the driver's name (an older man with longer gray hair at the back and bald at the top, he's wearing glasses), but he's been very unprofessional and bad-mannered. I forgot to tick the checkbox for reviewing while at checkout, that's why I'm writing a review here.

Anonymous Wonderful Driver. Driver kept a lookout for myself and my elderly friend to ensure we were back on the bus at stops. I left my mobile on the bus and the company arranged for it to be dropped off at the bus stop where i was on the return journey with another driver. Very grateful for the kind and professional assistance.

Anonymous Drivers good as always but there was a problem with bus. As soon as we joined highway bus was shakin. Drivers good and cool as always. As soon as we joined highway bus started to shake and it lasted whole trip.

Anonymous Driver was super rude & hates his job. Take flixbus because they are cheaper and faster. There was no part of the experience that I liked. The driver was rude and yelled at me for sitting at the front seat. Made me move so a Croatian guy can sit there in the same seat. You charge for luggage and that is ridiculous.

Anonymous The driver lowkey tried to scam me. He said one-fifty euros for large bags and was being elusive. I am glad that I got to my location. I asked him if it was one-hundred and fifty euros and he just repeated one-fifty euros. It was really one euro and fifty cents and I was lucky another passenger clarified. He knew what he was saying and tried to get more from me because I’m a single woman.

Anonymous Der erste Bus ist während der Fahrt ausgestiegen. Dann wurden wir in einen zweiten Bus verlegt. Mit den Pausen und dem Defekt ist der Bus erst in Zagreb am 19:40 Uhr anstatt den 17:15 Uhr angekommen. Für meine weitere Reise musste ich ein teures Taxi nehmen, da eine Fortsetzung der Reise mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nach Bjelovar nicht möglich war. Eine Verspätung über zwei Stunden für eine angedachte Fahrt ohne Verkehrsstau nicht akzeptabel. Zudem hatten nicht alle Passagiere einen Sitzplatz.

Anonymous I will never book through you again, you didn’t even say which bus stop it was and we couldn’t find. Nothing. What a waste, your instructions did not exist and there was no bus stop info: we want a refund as we had to buy other tickets and go way out of our way to get to Opatija as that was the last bus. Super disappointed.

Anonymous The driver was nice, polite an competent. There was no Wifi in the bus. But on the was a print "free wifi". The system of seat numbers doesn't makes sence. Because more than ones two persons have the same numbers an the people became angry. The bus had much technical problems. The driver had to hald more than four times, because of these problems. The bus should be at Zagreb at 17:15 but, was in Zagreb at 18:30.

Anonymous 1+ hr late Toilet didn't work. Driver stopped to let passenger pee. Almost missed connect in Trieste. Over 1 hour late, almost missed my connection in Trieste. Toilet, as usual with Brioni, did not work.
