Excellent service! There were mechanical problems with the first bus which was replaced within 10 minutes - superb! Driver was very helpful with luggage also. Very comfortable seats with plenty of room. Thank you very much for the very positive travel experience.

Bus ran a hour late. The bus had the worst ride ever. Bus need new shocks bad. Body was sore after the ride. You will need a massage after ride.

3 stars only because the driver was nice and English-speaking. - There is no such a company or place as Saharat Pattaya on Google maps, could only track the place because there was a map via 12goasia. Was difficult to order taxi to that place. - departure from station 40 minutes late (14:40 instead of 14:00) because of the late arrival of vehicle and there was no announcement, passengers had to go to the cashier again and again to learn an update. Then driver stopped and left to get something. Then stopped at nearby gas station. So in fact we left the place almost around 15:00. - the vehicle is very old, seat covers are all cracked, wheels squeak, van is shaking and dangling

The trip started not from the point mentioned in voucher. I had to call to the hotline, so the car pick me up on that point. Then driver and I drove to some other point, where we wait for additional 30 min before we finally depart from Pattaya.

Seats were hard as steel. The bus was full full full.. No space for legs… Never again… From bus terminal, the buses are much better…

The driver left 20 minutes late, then we immediately went to the gas station and waited there, we could have refueled in advance. The website indicated an incorrect arrival location.

It wasn't 'Poor' but it was less than 'Average', thus the 2 star rating. The journey itself was fine. The problem was the pick-up at the Jomtien Night Market. I went to the location provided by 12GO but there was no sign of anyone or anything that would suggest that I was at the correct pick-up spot. There was a reference on the confirmation email to "Check in" at the location which was very misleading because there was no place or sign indicating a check-in location. This caused stress, including when I tried to call the customer service number, no one answered. You have to do better.

What mode of transportation is the best one for my route?

Bus

Travelling from Pattaya to Bangkok overland will inevitably take longer but in many cases it is the cheapest option if you opt for a bus.

Things to remember: For a more comfortable ride opt for a higher-class bus wherever possible. These buses usually have soft reclining seats and are equipped with air-conditioning and on-board toilets.

They often include water, snacks or a light lunch into your ticket price and make bathroom stops en-route.

Taxi

Train

Train is a often a great choice for long-haul travel especially if you opt for a night sleeper train with berths which will allow you to sleep all your journey through. To make the most of your train journey, choose the class of your ticket wisely.

Note that there are air-conditioned and fan-only carriages; private compartments for 2 or 4; hard and soft seats.
Though the upper class you get the smoother is your journey, often second class air-conditioned or fan-only sleepers are a good money saving alternative.

Van

Vans are a great alternative - or, in many cases - your only option - if you need to travel overland within one and the same province or neighbouring provinces or states. Vans ply the roads between Pattaya and Bangkok, too.

Things to remember: When travelling by van with huge luggage buying a separate seat for your suitcase or backpack is a good idea. Do not expect there is a roomy luggage compartment in a van - there is actually none and your fellow passengers are unlikely to appreciate your luggage stuck under their feet, alas.
