Thomas KNice experience. Check-in was quite busy but well organized. You get sticker depending on the destination and the type of travel.
I used a VIP bus which was really comfortable. The seat number was assigned (part of the sticker), the seat was nice and could be arranged to sleep. The Bus was very safe, new, and perfectly on time. A stop was made about 2am where drink and food could be bought at a highway stop. There were also clean toilets available. We arrived about 5am at the harbour where the boat was departing 7am. The boarding was well organized, you could choose any seat on the boat. The ride was a bit bumpy, but nothing you can influence.

Zohar LI was buying the VIP ticket. My usb charging didn’t work and the drive got out late from Bangkok, that’s all that was bad.
Other than that the drive was good, with comfortable seats, i got small water, juice and 2 muffins. There is toilet in the bus which were fine.
There is only one stop. We got to the pier around 6am and the ferry was leaving soon so it was good.

Karina SIt's an unnecessarily inconvenient trip, spend a little more and try somewhere else. It's 7 hours on a bus with no legroom (and someone who is barely 160 cm says it), then if you go to Koh Tao they separate you to take you in a pickup truck to the port of Chumpong and here comes the worst part , very unnecessarily they leave you there at 3.30 am! and you have to wait outside until 7am for the ferry that will finally drop you off at Koh Tao. Why don't you take that trip later? finally at 10 pm from Bangkok so that people don't have to wait almost 4 hours in the middle of the night, in a port with plastic chairs and benches.

Eva TSooo happy with this journey. The VIP bus was great, they gave us a few snacks for breakfast, it was nice and cool, the seats reclined far back and there were foot rests. I slept really well. The ferry was quick and easy.

Antonin BThe bus quite different than on the picture. There was a stop in the middle of the night with 2-3 hours waiting. The connection ferry catamaran made me very sea sick. On my following trip I tried a different type of ferry which was a monohull - no sea sickness.

Kelly CThe vip ticket is really worth the price ! Very comfy bus seats, blankets, water and snacks are given. Toilets are on the bus. Very smooth travel from beginning to end 🙌
Make sure to wear socks, pants and a sweater because the ac is cold !
Also I’d suggest to have noise cancelling headphones and ear plugs if you wish to sleep comfortably. Neck pillow should also help and I advise to take the 6am bus from BK 🥰

Victoria JComfortable bus for the price. No USB ports for charging. They do drop you off at the ferry port at 5am and you have to sit around outside for 2 hours before you can board the boat though.

Helene BGood, the vip bus was differently worth it for the extra space to sleep. I would tho have liked to know when we were averaging at the harbor, and that we were going to wait there from 5-7 in the morning.
