Bangkok to Koh Samui Destination Reviews

The bus was late and also not in good condition, it looked like it was from the 1960s, most of the USB ports were broken, some seats could not be reclined, very little leg room. The staff was far from polite and professional. When we arrived at the place where we need to transfer to another bus the staff simply started screaming in the middle of the night and scared the living shit out of everyone on the bus that was asleep or half asleep. They were screaming everyone heading to Phuket get off here, when what they actually meant was Everyone needs to get off the bus so there was a lot if confusion due to bad communication on their end. The screaming staff was the worst I have ever encountered, and can just say if you travel with them don’t expect anything even close to the word of customer service

This honestly wasn't a bad trip like others have claimed, I think some people just have too high of a standard, especially for SE Asia. In saying that, don't pay for VIP, all tickets are the same. No seat allocations so you need to ensure you get on the bus earlier to get a seat you want. Water and snacks were provided. We travelled from Bangkok to Koh Samui and had no issues. You do a transfer to shuttle buses at Surat Thani that takes you to your respective destination or ferry terminal. PSA it's also cheaper to buy tickets online than at the shop, they can't price match 12go

All went good as far as the transportation is concerned. We arrived 1h30 late but that's alright given the length of the trip. HOWEVER, in the night bus I saw a guy (who I suppose was one of the drivers or a member of the staff) crawling in the aisle in the middle of the night (the bus lights were off), and trying to steal from people's bags... Thankfully, nothing was stolen as I reacted when I saw him, but that is not acceptable... WATCH OUT!

Very easy, everyone along the way was helpful. Seats recline enough to get some sleep. They provide a pillow, blanket and some snacks, the bus stops at services to allow people to go to the toilet and get a quick bit of food. The boat is also just as easy. Taxi’s and Tuk Tuk’s are waiting the other side for a lift to your hotel.

Good ride. Only thing to look out for is to go to the right location, which is not directly at Khao San Road, but 7 minutes walking away. Airco, food and a blanket were included!
