Everything worked smoothly to get to Koh Samed. Minibus was cramped vs vip class from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai so not as comfortable. Driver did stop when requested for bathroom break - which was def needed.

Booked the normal big bus on the way to Koh samet, bus ride was comfortable and on time, gave us food and water. The speedboat journey was chaos though, allow 1hr+ window waiting around for the 15min ride. Took the more expensive van option on way back to airport, no food/water was provided.

It was great, the driver kept it nice and quiet in the van. However the instructions for checking in was unclear and staff at the buss station led me to the wrong place.

The van and ferry trip was very good overall. Everything was punctual, comfortable, and well organized during the journey itself. The transfer and ferry ride went smoothly and met expectations. However, the information regarding how to redeem the bus ticket was insufficient. It was not clearly communicated that the ticket had to be exchanged at Ticket Building C first, and that the bus departure point was located at the back of the bus terminal. This caused some unnecessary confusion. Despite this minor issue, the service was reliable and pleasant, and I would still recommend it.
