Great experience, the bus even had free wifi. The only negative is we had to wait for 1.5 hour for the boat after 5 hours bus drive.

Vehicles were comfortable, transfers were smooth. My only complaint is that a snack and a meal were supposed to be included in the price, but what they gave was just enough to feed a bird. We all needed to buy more food to supplement it.

Best travel experience I’ve had in Thailand so far. All the staff were very helpful and gave helpful directions at each stage of the trip. The coach was very comfortable and spacious and the boat was also very pleasant.

We booked on line from that place when we got there we were 15 minutes late do to traffic no one called us and we couldn’t get a hold of anyone .when we got there the girl wasn’t too cooperative I ask her if we could get on the other one and she made me wait finally she booked me for the next one but the ticket said 500 am,I went back to see her and she fixed it and told me to be there at 700am even tough the ticket said 8 am In the meantime I got a phone call from sedaumgo saying that they were waiting for us at the Starbucks Khaosan rd bus depot which was supposed to have been cancelled by you so confused we went anyway and got on the bus after that everything was fine . So if possible I would like a refund or credit do to the fact I paid twice one at 500 and the other at Boonsiri for 8am Thank you for your cooperation

Is it safe to go Koh Kood?

Koh Kood is generally considered safe for travelers, with a peaceful atmosphere and low crime rate. It is a quiet island focused on relaxation rather than nightlife, which contributes to its safety. Visitors should, however, take standard precautions such as securing valuables and avoiding poorly lit areas at night. The island is free from major traffic concerns as transportation is limited to motorbikes and taxis. Be cautious when riding motorbikes on winding roads and during the rainy season, as surfaces can become slippery. If planning water activities, such as snorkeling or kayaking, check weather conditions and ensure the equipment is provided by reputable operators. Access to healthcare facilities on Koh Kood is limited, so travel insurance and a basic first-aid kit are advisable for emergencies. Overall, Koh Kood’s serene environment makes it a safe choice for tourists.

Can you walk around Koh Kood?

Walking around Koh Kood is possible in certain areas, particularly near beaches and resorts, but the island's large size and hilly terrain make it impractical to explore entirely on foot. Visitors often use motorbikes or taxis to navigate between attractions.
  • Key areas, such as Klong Chao Beach, have walkable paths with restaurants and shops nearby.
  • Jungle trails leading to waterfalls, like Klong Chao or Huang Nam Keaw, are popular but require sturdy footwear and caution during rainy seasons due to slippery paths.
  • The main road is not pedestrian-friendly, with limited sidewalks and occasional traffic, so walking there is not ideal.
For a mix of walking and exploration, consider combining short walks with rented motorbikes or bicycles to reach more remote areas. Always carry water and sun protection due to the island's tropical climate.

Where should I go first, Bangkok or Koh Kood?

Visiting Bangkok first is recommended for most travelers, as it serves as a major transport hub and offers a stark contrast to the tranquility of Koh Kood. Bangkok is rich in cultural and historical landmarks, such as the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, making it an excellent introduction to Thai culture. It’s also an ideal place to shop, try street food, and arrange logistics for your onward journey to Koh Kood. Koh Kood, on the other hand, is better suited as a second destination for relaxation after experiencing Bangkok’s bustling energy. Reaching Koh Kood requires additional travel via flight or bus to Trat, followed by a ferry ride. Plan a couple of days in Bangkok to explore and acclimate before heading to Koh Kood for a peaceful beach retreat, allowing you to enjoy both experiences fully.
