How cruel can you be to charge 160 baht for a ticket which costs only 70 bath at the ticket office location . What kind of insane mark up is this ? What kind of robbery is this ? How can you be even allowed to operate as a business !!!

I received an Email from 12goAsia, that the trip was cancelled and that I need to see the provider-counter to get the money back. I booked alternative travels and at the counter they refused to give my money back, as the cancellation was not valid anymore…

The bus did not go to the City Park. Instead, it dropped us off at some bus stop on Naresuan Road telling us to leave. That was very strange.

The check in was easy and the drive relatively fast (for a lot of traffic) but it was a bit confusing to get there because the coordinates and the adress showed two different sides on the road so we had some trouble to get there.

It was a minibus, we had enough space for luggage, driver took a few longer breaks which was delaying the short drive quite a bit. Otherwise he told us when to get off the bus and everything worked out great.

Though the upper class you get the smoother is your journey, often second class air-conditioned or fan-only sleepers are a good money saving alternative.

Van

Things to remember: When travelling by van with huge luggage buying a separate seat for your suitcase or backpack is a good idea. Do not expect there is a roomy luggage compartment in a van - there is actually none and your fellow passengers are unlikely to appreciate your luggage stuck under their feet, alas.
