Chachoengsao Hotels, Guesthouses and Resorts
Although most travellers only choose to visit Chachoengsao on a day trip, there are a few accommodation options available if you want to stay a bit longer. It’s best to stay in the centre of town, so it’s convenient to reach the majority of restaurants and cafes, the bus and train station, and the Wat Sothon temple. Because Chachoengsao is not really a tourist destination, hotels are very good value and you should be able to stay at most places for less than THB900 per night. For the same reason, there are no either purely budget or upscale options, so your choice is basically limited to the mid-range price category.
Mid-Range
Despite being a bit further out of town, Malone Maranatha (99/5 Moo 2 Sothornpatthana road Soi 2, twin rooms from THB700) is the most interesting place to stay in Chachoengsao. It has been decorated to resemble a Moroccan riad, both inside and out, and even though the room price is relatively low, it’s quite luxurious! It also benefits from being close by to the Robinson Mall, and facilities include a sun terrace and an on-site restaurant.
If fully booked, JK Living Hotel and Service Apartment (72/3-4 Prachasawan Rd, twin rooms from THB860 with breakfast) is a great alternative, with a much better location in the centre of town. The hotel is fairly new, with spacious rooms, a fitness centre, on-site restaurant and outdoor terrace. They also offer free use of bicycles for exploring the town, and they’ll even prepare you a packed lunch if you ask!
Close by, there’s the slightly cheaper The Chill Classic House (191/45-46 Mahachakrapat Rd, double rooms from THB750). The rooms are comfortable and have been decorated to a high standard, there’s a fitness room, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
For travellers with a higher budget, The Brown House (558 Supakit Rd, double rooms from THB2,000 with breakfast) is a small riverside hotel, complete with gift shop and coffeehouse. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately clean, and the staff are extremely helpful and attentive. They will happily assist you with organizing trips and recommending restaurants.
