I thought I’d share my experience since there are a lot of mixed reviews. I took the overnight bus from Bangkok to Sukhotai historical park. First thing is that you need a physical ticket to board the bus, I got mine directly at the UUA booth close to the entrance of Mochit bus station (just show them the 12GO reservation, they’ll give you one and tell you from which platform the bus leaves). My bus was scheduled at 8:30pm and left exactly at that time. Second, if you are planning to go to Sukhotai historical park (old city) and not the new city, don’t leave the bus at « Sukhotai » station, your stop will be the next one. A lot of people complained that they got dropped off in the new city, which is about 10km from the historical park, but they likely got confused and left the bus too early (most people stop at Sukhotai, so it feels like it’s the last station). And third, the bus arrives way before schedule. I got to the historical park at 4:30AM instead of 7:30AM. The old city was surprisingly lively though, with locals already selling/buying things on the market. I am a solo female traveler and felt completely safe, but just something to keep in mind in case you are not comfortable with being out that early. Altogether a really smooth process, the driver and assistant don’t speak English but were really kind, and the seats are decent with a lot of legroom.

Everything fine except the fact that it left the station 20 minutes before the official departure time. We got there in the nick of time, but 20 minutes before departure.

Very dangerous to have dropped me at my destination at 4:20am when it was fully dark still instead of the planned 7:30am as a woman traveling solo I had no accommodation planned for that night as I was supposed to reach Sukhotai during THE DAY Could've ended with me sleeping at the bus station if it wasn't for the amazing people at my hotel accommodating me at 5 IN THE MORNING after me arriving desperate A shame really because Everything else was great 🙄

The bus was on time and the ride was smooth. The ticket includes a bottle of water and 2 small (sweet) snacks. There is a toilet on board (but I didn't use it.) There was a stop for lunch around 11:30 which cost 30 THB and was very good. The seats recline and have a foot rest, which was comfortable enough for short naps. We arrived at Sukhothai bus stop around 15:00.

1. The time of departure has been charged without noticing from 08.30 on 08.10 and I was nearly missed the bus 2. In pdf that I got didn't content information about check-in and number of desk, the bus terminal Mochit is realy huge and find necessary desk isn't easy task

No instructions were given to me about how to acquire a food voucher and given the language barrier it was very difficult to figure out what was needed and how to get it, I ended up not even getting my own one and the bus driver went and got it for me.
