I think the bus station is a bit to navigate. When it's not big or super confusing to navigate. The moment the bus is ready to board could be more clear.
Toilet was flooded, people behind us were puking, some were taking pictures of us, no privacy, bumpy ride, and they dropped us off in the middle of the road, not at the bus stop we should’ve been dropped at. But at least we arrived quite a lot earlier than expected so that was nice.
Everything was organised very well and we arrived earlier than expected. The voucher included all relevant Information, also the picture of the counter (to get the final ticket) was super helpful. Bus was prepared with blankets, pillows, water. Shoes have to be stored in a plastic bag (provided by the operator).
Mattress was okay, but space is limited for 2 persons (about 1m x 1,8m). Toilet on board was okay.
Nevertheless travelling with nightbus can feel very scary on the way (high speed, braking processes, honks). I really prefer using the night train, if available.
Actually, after traveling in Vietnam first, now Laos, we were shocked how high quality of service it was. We were going from Vientiane to Pakse and it was great. Check in at bus station without any problems. Sleeping bus was great, Planty of space for a couple. Blankets, pillows. WC at the board. Bus came to the point even earlier than expected. Keep this quality guys!

We paid about 1,000,000 kip for two people (if we had gone directly to the Southern Bus Station, it would have only cost 600,000 kip). We left in an old bus where the air conditioning didn’t work, and after a short time, it started to smell like exhaust fumes — it became hard to breathe.
The trip was supposed to be from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., but around 10 p.m. to midnight, we were stuck on the side of the road while the staff tried to repair the bus — without success. Then we continued until 2 a.m., when we stopped again for another two hours. Eventually, a new bus arrived (not a sleeper, just a regular one), which took us another two hours until we had to change buses again around 6:30 a.m.
The third bus was another old sleeper bus, already used before — trash everywhere, dirty blankets, everything filthy. We finally arrived in Pakse at 1 p.m., five hours late. They clearly knew the bus was broken before departure and shouldn’t have started the trip in the first place.

We took the night bus from Vientiane to Pakse. It was a nice bus with beds. We could sleep the whole night (we are good sleepers!). The personal was very kind. There were USB in each bed to charge the phone however they were not working. The bus drop us off in Pakse in a different location than the one indicated.
We arrived more than an hour and a half later than promised because of vehicle problems. Also none of the staff knew English so we didn't know how long the stop was, and the bus just started going - i had to run to the middle of the road to stop it. The bus itself was standard, nothing to mention
Set off on time. It arrived at Thakek at 1.30am though. It seems this happens often so slightly annoying they don't advertise that better as you then have to find somewhere to sleep in the middle of the night (I'd recommend Lao home hostel)
They oversold the tickets so get there early. Some poor kids had to sit on stools in the aisle for 5 hours. Road is in much better condition than in the past. Way quicker trip now.
The ride on the sleeper bus to Thakek was fine. We booked two seats and got one bed together as a couple. The beds were actually comfortable and they even gave us blankets, pillows and water. But it was a pretty small bed, I wouldn’t want to share it with a stranger. So better book two beds for yourself when you are travelling alone. When you book the ticket directly in the bus station, the ticket is only half the price of 12go Asia, just as a tip. The bus was actually so fast. We arrived already at 1am in Thakek. So better to book a hostel for the night with late check-in possibility. We didn’t have nothing booked and it was difficult to find a place to stay that late at night.

Safety on board was questionable. The glass of the windows were cracked. Like huge cracks.

Very comfortable, clean bus. We arrived 2.5h earlier than were meant to. They had a toilet on the bus
I give the trip a 5, for the following, we left late and arrived late, but in between there was a horrible road, a 10 for the driver, who was 8 hours Hyper focused on the road, the worst I have ever driven on , more than 200 km, potholes, dirt, tarmac, herds of cows, more potholes, more dirt, crazy, not the best way to go to Luang Prabang, but the driver was a professional
Absolutely on time, good driver. As a 1,85m tall person, I can only suggest to buy two tickets per person, if you zravel alone. You will get the complete berth then. With two tall persons it can be quite cozy :-)

I booked 2 seats to make sure I’ll have a full bed for myself. Really comfortable trip 👍 Didn’t have to use the toilets so no idea how they are.
The bed was comfy (as a solo-traveller, I booked two seats because I didn't want to share the small bed with a stranger), the ride was very bumpy, but that's not the driver's fault. Yet, I could catch some hours of sleep. The toilet was ugly, bring your own toilet paper and sanitizer with you!! We arrived half an hour earlier in Pakse.
The bus it self was good. The sleeping area was good. But the driver drove like a crazy man. When we were lying there we had to hold on otherwise we would fall out of bed. Nobody on the bus that we spoken to could sleep because of this. So the experience wasn't good!
Bus was meant to go at 11…we left at 1245. I would have got the train if I knew we would sit around until the bus filled up. You should have warned me!!
