It was a pretty rough sea in my opinion and we still went pretty fast. I am no expert at all but I didn’t feel safe. I would have liked to know that the sea was a bit rough before I went on the boat so I would have the chance to take another ferry or at least prepare myself for it. I thought that by booking a bigger boat and pay twice the money, I would feel safer but because of the conditions I absolutely didn’t. You could see that a lot of people were very scared.

Késett másfél órát a hajó, a hajó a hullámzás miatt recsegett ropogott menet közben. Még egyszer nem utaznék vele. A Gili Meno kikötőben nem csak a kikötői díjat kérték el, hanem arra is, hogy egy kisebb hajó kivigyen minket a nagyra kb 20 méterre a kikötőtől. Odafele nem kellett fizetni és nincs feltüntetve a vásárolt jegyen sem…
the Greeter in Gili Air does not ask all fo the questins and points he needs at once : he had to return to me 3 times (after checking in at his desk!) to :
- register me
- then ask for pier /visa fees
- then ask for passport copy
= that creates stress...
IN THE MEAN TIME
- he did not forget to make me pay 200 K for a "private driver"
- he forgets to give the seasick tablets
THEN he sends us under the heavy rain to board in = he could have organized, with the heavy weather and rain we had, to make sure everybody had disembark from the previous boat before sending us under the heavy rain
Boat was late and no announcements from staff. They tell you arrive 30 - 60 mins before departure, and you just sit there with no info. Hot and crowded seating area because boat was overbooked. It was a fast trip so could have been worse.. Also note that customs agents are charging 10,000 port entrance fee at Gili Air when published cost is 5,000. I mentioned to the ticket agent but was told it 'separate' from them #scammers
We left almost an hour late from Gili T. The onboarding was not orchestrated very well. No security explanation at all, which seemed necessary the way this ferry was moving. The seating was good.
