La furgoneta se fue antes de que llegáramos así que unas serviciales tailandesas organizaron un viaje en taxi desde trang hasta el muelle de pak barra. La lancha rápida de Pak Bara a Koh Lipe hizo dos paradas innecesarias: 40 minutos en la isla de las Tortugas y 10 minutos en la isla de Khai. Se supone que es una lancha rápida, no una excursión de isla en isla. Por eso casi perdemos el longboat a koh adang.

The shuttle was excellent, but the the Speedboat had major issues. My small bag was carelessly put on the bottom while the careless crew member (one was careful, then the other came over and started throwing bags around and SMASHING important gear under huge heavy duffle bags. He kept piling heavy stuff on top while I watched suitcases buckle under the pressure. THE CAPTAIN was distracted by his admirer/gf the whole trip, turning around to chat with her and giving her a private tour of the islands in passing. She had his attention, as well as did the crewman who kept showing him his phone. THE DRIVER was not focused on driving for much of the trip. I was very disturbed by his lack of attention to his job. Not a good experience. Also, we were crammed in and had no room for our feet due to stacks of eggs and delicate supplies under every seat.

The Operator cancelled the trip saying that he didn’t had a vehicle to make the trip. This was very stressful as I had booked my flight and hotel only after making sure that I could get there using this operators route . What had happened is that there was only my reservation and he didn’t wanted to make the trip for only one person. Later, other 5 people sign up and “suddenly” he was already going to do the trip. Lastly, the plan was to arrive in Koh Lipe at 14:30 but the ferry only arrives at 15:00 (as previously scheduled, not by delay) so the info is not correct.

Excellent experience. Transfer was seamless. Van came early to my pick up point. Simply show the e-voucher and we are on our way. Driver was friendly. Van was clean and ride was smooth. Arrived at Bak Para Pier one and half hours later. Upon arrival just check in at the pier. Half hour or slightly more, off we go to Koh Lipe.
