Booking was easy, I think its insane to pick up a ticket in a 12go shop, try to find it in an unknown area with a suitcase to carry and then go to a train station futher away then walking distance from the ticket shop. Why isnt the shop at the train station? Even, A digital ticket should be enough....

We showed up early and had a chill journey overall. We booked from Surat Thani to Kho Phangan by bus and ferry, starting at 09:30 am. We have been a bit lost, when we came to the ferry pier and no signs shown where to go, but figured it out very fast. Read the e-mail you recive after booking confirmation and everything will be fine :)

Very well organized but we didn't realiae there was 1h car drive to go to the ferry. Anyway we got it well and there was no struggle.

We arrived so early, we could catch a ferry earlier, boarding had just started, without even changing our tickets! Indoor seats for 4 persons was not available anymore (people tend to occupy extra seats with their luggage), but sitting outside was actually even better, with the fresh breeze (no cushions though). The shop was a bit pricy (as expected - monopoly), but well sorted. Overall great experience! At 12Go I could only book tickets starting at Seatran Coach Office in Suratthani Town, not at the pier. I contacted 12Go’s customer support to ask if we could just go to the pier, as we were already closeby, but they could only refer to the booked ticket info or redirect me to Seatran. Eventually we called Seatran and we could go directly to the pier.

Perfectly arranged, 12go staff was waiting on the train station, brought to a small cafe to have some breakfast, after that short bus transfer to pick up the ferry tickets and from there on bus transfer to the pier. Enough time to have some drinks before boarding. Ferry was directly to Koh Phangan, seats outside and inside. Restaurant available with airco as well.

Driver was late, Poor communication about procedure after the pickup , driver picked up a lot of locals and dropped them off around the city Waiting at office for bus to go, busdriver feuled at gasstation and dropped us off somewhere without informati g about next to go or do. Got info from locals and a informationcentre. Waiting for a ride to the boat. Personal from ferry were not amused our being late for ferry, boat luckily waited for us. So we were unnecessary late for the boat.

Transfer from Tapee to Donsak by bus, 1 hour. Unfortunately the aircon broke down. The bus drove directly in front of the ferry. Ferry waited for us.
