Train was delayed by an hour and a half, no expected time given. Train seemed very outdated and stops were not announced so we had to keep checking our phones as the timings were off due to the delay, which meant we got very little sleep. Top bunks are very bright as the lights are on all night. Air con worked well and it was cool hence the 2 stars

It's nice to have a bus that goes directly from the train station and takes you to Khao Lak (or other destinations). Departure time of the bus was late, which fitted well with the late train arrival 😁 so we did not have to wait for the next bus. Driving was ok.

The bus was half an hour late, but that's not a big deal considering that these things can happen when traveling. The big problem is that the stops are announced hurriedly, shouted only once, and in the noisy motion, you risk not hearing them. I almost missed my stop. In two seconds, I grabbed my things, and the operator hurriedly took my suitcase and departed fast. I suggest checking the itinerary and travel times to figure out for yourself when to get off. Also, as much as I dislike air conditioning, the journey from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. was unbearable, without any cooling system or ventilation. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't feel safe on the bus: it was speeding around bends on mountain roads, and it was only when I got off that I noticed the rear part had come off. I think it's dangerous.

Bus was in a catastrophic condition. Everywhere electric wire etc. bus driver came 40 minutes to late and than driven like a idi*t up and down the hills. I felt really unsafe.
