I should have taken a flight. It’s long long bus ride to the ferry. Bus was uncomfortable for me and my buddy but we are both over 6’2” tall. Not much leg room. Staff were all great and we got there on time.

The van ride was awful, pretty sure the driver was falling asleep at the wheel. And he spoke no english and drove in circles in Patong looking for a rider but could not communicate with the rider.

We were picked up in a van with other people, about 1 hour into our trip to the ferry, we were transferred to a taxi for the remainder of our trip, we were very comfortable and the driver made sure that we stopped when we had to do a quick stop For coffee or washroom. We arrived on time at the ferry for our crossing to Koh Samui.

Pick up from the hotel to the ferry was perfect and in time. Just didn’t realize that luggage had to be carry up the stairs on the ferry, a bit difficult for people with medical or mobility issues.
