I took the risk and booked ticket from Koh Ngai to Koh Lanta with one operator and then next ticket from Koh Lanta to Koh Yao Yai with another operator. I had 1h or 1h30min for layover but first boat was more than 1h late. So actually I was relieved that boat from Koh Lanta departed also later and I managed to get on that boat. Problem was that there is no information if your boat has departed or when will your boat depart if it is delayed. I recommend everyone to take tour time and try to be early for check-in and also be prepared for delays and just waiting on the pier with water and snacks.

The Trip was fine, but the departure was 30 min too late. We went from ko lanta to ko yao yai. It said the trip needs 1 1/2 hour, but it took 2 hours plus the 30 min lateness.
