Beautiful Cabin, but crazy driver .. Every 1,5h stop was okay, but i dont understand why the driver always had to drive hard left and right curves before the stop - just to wake everybody up.. but He could also talk or shout to tell the sleeping people that He will stop, or not ??

This was a really good bus service, there were numerous wee stops a long the way and a slightly longer one to get food. Of course the food is slightly more pricey at the bus stops. The driver was safe and the sleeper was comfortable. Really nice views along the way too!

The bus was on time, and the sleeping bus was comfortable. You have a blanket and a bottle of water provided. The driver spoke no English and didn’t make any toilet stops from Hanoi to Sapa 5h, but it was during the night so it was ok. Overall I recommend it!

We had an awful experience with the sleeper bus. First the company somehow changed from Grouptour to Sao Viet. Staff was rude and spoke practically no English. The driver was also very rude and drove like a mad man. Overtaking on winding roads, lots of honking and sharp braking. We were glad to arrive alive at Sapa.

One star for the women at the check in counter at the Sai shop front was hostile and rude. I went in and was polite said hello here for check in and patiently waited a while. She seemed more preoccupied in counting cash. Eventually then snapped at me after waiting a while and asked me to write details on the paperwork instead of her doing it. So I had to use Google translate to figure out what to write. After doing so, I then left saying "thankyou, bye" with no response. My partner she hen caught her looking me up and down as I walked and intently starring at me with this horrific scowl upon her face. Also the talking in their own language when we wait for bus about the foreigners, making crude remarks. It's simply not acceptable and make it's a hostile environment for the passengers to deal with. Especially one of the passengers was young women on her own who looked petrified. The bus was slightly dirty too with stains on the curtains, but my main issue was the attitude of the staff. The company seems more operate as courier service and prioritse delivering goods rather than passengers. As the constant stops take up time. It's more "two birds, one stone" we make money off passenger and then we'll make more profit dropping off passengers on the way. When this happens also they ended up taking our luggage out a few times. Which when we arrived in Sapa was battered and covered in dirt and dust. I then had to shout at one off staff to say "hey" and point at the luggage covered in dirt lying in the wet muck. Beyond poor really. I'd never give this company any money again it shouldn't be operating with foreigners if they despise them so much.

Bus was great but driver was very rude and impatient. No information given how long mid way stop was for. Would be easy to learn one sentence, even one English word to communicate with passengers who all speak some English. Felt like cattle in a market at the mid way stop… it was all money money and a big rush to eat food and get back on the bus. My advice, bring your own food and use the toilet on the bus if you can. My stars are for the lovely clean bus!

Do it only If you have to. You would think after having so many tourists from abroad the driver would learn at least few words in English or at least have some more information printed out but no, and if you do something that you not suppose to do you getting shouted at. Overall the ride is OK and will get you to the destination. Not on time, driver on the phone most of the time so don’t forget your noise cancelling headphones ;) suppose to be 2 stops - three was only 1 with feeling no other than you’ve being forced to buy stuff from this place that been made up for all of us obviously with overpriced everything including paid toilet that lady is making up the price as she wish. No food in the bus?! Which we haven’t been told either. I suggest to get to the bus tired so you can sleep all the way :)

Beyond expectations! ⭐️ The bus was amazing and super comfortable. The driver drove very carefully, which made the whole trip feel safe and relaxing. The seats are very spacious, and they provide blankets, which is perfect for resting. You can easily sleep or just sit back and relax during the journey.

Train

Train is a often a great choice for long-haul travel especially if you opt for a night sleeper train with berths which will allow you to sleep all your journey through. To make the most of your train journey, choose the class of your ticket wisely.

Note that there are air-conditioned and fan-only carriages; private compartments for 2 or 4; hard and soft seats.
Though the upper class you get the smoother is your journey, often second class air-conditioned or fan-only sleepers are a good money saving alternative.

Van

Vans are a great alternative - or, in many cases - your only option - if you need to travel overland within one and the same province or neighbouring provinces or states. Vans ply the roads between Hanoi and Sapa, too.

Things to remember: When travelling by van with huge luggage buying a separate seat for your suitcase or backpack is a good idea. Do not expect there is a roomy luggage compartment in a van - there is actually none and your fellow passengers are unlikely to appreciate your luggage stuck under their feet, alas.
