Very well organized transfer. It was a van ride to the border, then the bus service in the border (taxes already included), and another van in Lao. All smooth and correct, we did not have to worry about anything. Save some baths to pay in the border for the stamp (20 B) and for whatever taxes service (50 B or 1$).

We arrived safely. Despite miss communication, we had to wait for the driver almost an hour, with back and forth messages to the pick up location. It’s something that needs to improve. They pick us in a car, and they were saying the car couldn’t enter the entrance of shopping mall where we were. It was very stressful. They need to improve communication. We had the car to thailand border, then a bus to laos border and a open car to our location. We had to wait for more people at Laos border to take us to the street in HouayXay. So just for awareness, plan your time and take food and water with you. At the end worked well, but they need to improve how to communicate with the client.

When first I had got in contact with the travel agency everything went great. Good pick up, good to get through the border and a good pick up there. The only thing was that there was no contact info, and I had to google a WhatsApp number. Would have been nice to have that from the beginning.

We were outside the hotel waiting 40 mins prior to pick up and when he failed to arrive Reception called him for us and he said he had been already and we weren’t there, totally untrue. He returned but was very late and did t appear to know where he wa going for pick ups

Everything very smooth on the Thai side, great experience. Slow processes, and very old, unsafe vehicles on the Laos side. At the end, Lao driver did not even bother to drop me off next to the hotel, making me walk with luggage.
