Bangkok to Pattaya Destination Reviews

The van left an hour later than scheduled. Halfway down the road, at a gas station, they told me to transfer to another van. Everything was poorly organized.

I booked the transport but wasn’t able to get on because the staff at the ticket counter oversold tickets. They didn’t inform me of anything and just left me waiting until the vehicle departed. It was a huge waste of time.

Bus was over 3 hours late. The 2 hour 20 minute drive took almost 4 hours. It was not smooth sailing.

Evers time we plan a trip.we use 12Go. Easy, fast confirmation, you get what you order. E-tickets are easy to check in, which makes contact with the employees at the terminal desks a lot more pleasant.

It wasn't transparent that a extra Fee of 20 bath was needed for a bigger package. It would be nice to and this information into the description.

It was a smooth trip but it's not pleasing to be shouted at by a ticket collector. That's what happened at Ekkamai bus station. A very rude and aggressive ticket collector.

Train

Train is a often a great choice for long-haul travel especially if you opt for a night sleeper train with berths which will allow you to sleep all your journey through. To make the most of your train journey, choose the class of your ticket wisely.

Note that there are air-conditioned and fan-only carriages; private compartments for 2 or 4; hard and soft seats.
Though the upper class you get the smoother is your journey, often second class air-conditioned or fan-only sleepers are a good money saving alternative.

Van

Vans are a great alternative - or, in many cases - your only option - if you need to travel overland within one and the same province or neighbouring provinces or states. Vans ply the roads between Bangkok and Pattaya, too.

Things to remember: When travelling by van with huge luggage buying a separate seat for your suitcase or backpack is a good idea. Do not expect there is a roomy luggage compartment in a van - there is actually none and your fellow passengers are unlikely to appreciate your luggage stuck under their feet, alas.
