No Ferry Journeys Between Pattaya and Hua Hin During Low Season

The ferry linking Pattaya and Hua Hin on a daily bases have been suspended effective from today, September, 20th, due to low season period resulting in both rough seas and limited number of passengers using the service.

It was announced that the ferry would stop crossing the Gulf from today and at least until October, 31. After that the sea journeys should resume as normal.

The ferry between the two resort cities is operated by the Royal Passenger Line. The service was launched in January 2017 and proved to be a popular choice among tourists and locals. Lately it was sailing off from Pattaya at 1pm with the return trip from Hua Hin departing at 4pm. Travel time which is dependent on weather conditions is between 2 and 3 hours in media.

During the low season the only way to travel between Hua Hin and Pattaya is overland. There is a direct bus leaving daily at 11am from each destination and travelling past Bangkok. It normally takes between 5 and six hours to reach either of your destinations if there is no unexpected congestion. Other possible ways to get from Pattaya to Hua Hin and vice versa include bus+bus or bus+train travel via Bangkok or hiring a private taxi.
