The founder of Chiang Mai-based airline Kan Air and the main investor of the first Koh Phangan Airport, Somphong Sooksanguan reported, that it will start to serve Phangan island flights this year.

Koh Phangan is the famous island in the southern Thailand, which hold full moon parties every month. As expected, the first Koh Phangan Airport will be in demand clubbers and tourists from all over the world. At this moment the airport’s construction in 70% completed.

Kan Air will be the first carrier operates new Koh Phangan route. The particular interest is that the company uses 70-seat ATR 72 turboprops.
