I most I love is the service, They all nice and kind. The bus clean and nice too
Bus Express, Bangkok Travel Plus, Jul 11, 2024
Straight forward, they directed you the entire way. Even when i got myself in a panic over nothing they was very helpful and gave great instructions.
Bus Express, Lomprayah (ลมพระยา), Jun 5, 2024
Overnight bus from Bangkok was fine, although no air con, WiFi or electric points as advertised. At 5am we were dropped at a point but not told why or the plan. At 6am we were spilt into groups and put in taxis. We were then transferred to 4 other taxis between 6am and 7am at different points of the city before finally being brought to the port at 7:55am, ferry departed 8am.
Bus Bus + Ferry, Nara Travel (นรา ทราเวล), May 21, 2024
Comfortable big seats on the bus, and a toilet too.
Bus Express, Lomprayah (ลมพระยา), May 5, 2024
Friendly, fast and uncomplicated. Just sometimes need to wait what’s going on. But would do it again. Very cold at the bus. Small seats on the left side of the bus.
Bus Express, Montanatip (Montanatip), Feb 17, 2024
Overall, everything was fine. There was plenty of space and water/snacks in the "VIP bus". The toilet was not so nice. The bus drove to a small rest area near Surat Thani. I waited there for just under an hour and from there took a smaller van to Donsak Pier and from there took the ferry to Koh Phangan. The communication about when to wait where and for how long was ok.

Everything was okay, but we couldn’t charge our phones, because they were not working
Bus VIP 24, Krungsiam Tour (กรุงสยามทัวร์), Feb 5, 2024
Lovely experience. The whole process went smoothly from check in to arrival. Lovely service aboard the night bus and everything ran on time. The VIP bus was really comfortable with pillow and blanket and managed to sleep really well and arrived at our destination on time with no problems. Highly recommend.

Everything was well organised. Exceptional staff Punctual , clean, easy to book. Big fan of 12go asia
Ferry VIP, Lomprayah (ลมพระยา), Dec 13, 2023
First bus very comfortable and we were able to sleep. Stop and wait for second bus could be a bit more organized and communicated what we have to do. Second bus was okay and ferry was how expected. Nothing to complain here

Companies offering charters between Bangkok and Koh Phangan

Glassflower, Van2Travel

Vans are a great alternative - or, in many cases - your only option - if you need to travel overland within one and the same province or neighbouring provinces or states. Vans ply the roads between Bangkok and Koh Phangan, too.

Things to remember: When travelling by van with huge luggage buying a separate seat for your suitcase or backpack is a good idea. Do not expect there is a roomy luggage compartment in a van - there is actually none and your fellow passengers are unlikely to appreciate your luggage stuck under their feet, alas.
