Royal Passenger Liner to add two new Gulf of Thailand ferry routes

The operator of the Pattaya to Hua Hin ferry service has announced the addition of two new routes. The boss of the Thai National Marine Department says the routes will commence next month and run between Sattahip and Hua Hin and Sattahip and the island of Koh Chang.

Sorasak Saensombat explained that Royal Passenger Liner was in the process of acquiring new ferries to serve the routes. He added that the new vessels would have a capacity of 350 passengers apiece, but did not disclose what fares were likely to be.

Chuk Samet Port in Sattahip will be the departure point for both services. In Hua Hin, ferries will arrive and depart from the same pier as Pattaya ferries, Khao Ta Kiab. Sattahip to Koh Chang services will dock at Bang Bao Pier.

Since the Pattaya to Hua Hin service launched in January, it has evolved into a popular choice for travel between the two Gulf of Thailand seaside towns. 12GO ASIA provides reservations services for these ferries and will add the new ones to the collection once they are up and running.
