long drive made comfortable. i have been travelling this route for longer period, drivers are friendly, the route itself is not pleasant (montenegrin roads are killers) but altogether i always feel safe and reasonably comfortable provided there are not many people on the bus. buses hsould have electricity sockets at each seat. and ideally wifi??

Nightbus from dubrovnik to tirana left 2 hours late. I got no email or other info about the bus being late. Had to wait 2 extra hours in thunderstorm under a roof that didnt hold water. The bus arrives in tirana 4 hours late if original schedule. I'm glad I hadn't bought my continuing bus in advance, as surely I would have been late. Staff was very nice and helpful. They handled border crossinga very well!

Significantly Late Arrival. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned. The driver did not speak any English, which made communication very difficult and confusing. We arrived over 2 hours late to our destination point without any clear reasoning behind it. This resulted in me being charged a cancellation fee for a pre-booked taxi and hotel check in.

The bus arrived 50 minutes late. The bus was extremely hot to the extent everyone was yelling. The person accompanying the driver was very rude when collecting passports. He was waking people up by knocking them quite aggressively. He knocked my knees, but after that he knocked someone else on the head. Perhaps this is the practice in croatia, but this treatment is unacceptable. There was also a lot of yelling in croatian but none in english to indicate stops or passport control, i had to follow what the crowds were doing. Will not travel again with them and do not recommend at all. One of my worst traveling experiences.

We eventually got to our destination. Our bus showed up half an hour late, then the drivers were yelling at some guests for 30 minutes that they had too much luggage and they couldn’t bring it all. Eventually they loaded it all up and we left. It was frustrating because we could have just packed up and left I don’t know why they spent 30 minutes yelling. This was at midnight as well. Then when they finally let us on the bus the driver forced me and my partner to sit at the very back with 5 squeezed in there. There were other people getting on before and after us so I don’t know why he chose us to take those seats but we were not happy.

Best Bus Ride I’ve Taken In Europe So Far! After combing through a lot of negative reviews about this company, I was hesitant about booking a ticket (but it was really the only option I had to get from where I was to where I wanted to go on the day I needed to leave, so I didn’t have much choice). I saw people saying the bus drivers were smoking in the buses, drivers were rude, buses were arriving hours late, etc. I had mentally prepared for any and all of the above, and was ready to chalk it up as a classic travel story. But I was PLEASANTLY impressed. I took a bus from Skopje to Split - an 18 hour journey. It’s the first bus I’ve been on in Europe that seemed to actually have their AC working (if anything I was a bit cold at times, which I’ll take over sweating for 18 hours!) Seats were comfortable. Bus was clean. The bus departed promptly at the departure time, and actually arrived in Split at the arrival time to the dot. The bus drivers (two of them because it was a long/overnight journey) were extremely kind and helpful! Honestly my only complaint from the whole journey was not the bus company’s fault at all. Everyone on the bus was quiet, tidy, and respectful. One woman had her two young kids who were SO noisy, running around, climbing on seats, making a mess with their food, watching videos/playing games on phones with the volume on for everyone to hear. The young girl kept reaching around her seats to poke me and grab at me. The mom seemed to be doing fairly little to minimize any of these things. It was the only thing that made the journey unfavorable, and it’s really not a reflection of the bus company at all. If it weren’t for that it honestly would have been such a mellow, peaceful bus ride through the Balkans!

This travel was ridiculous! The very colorful composition of the public in the bus. Chaotically full luggage trunks, broken seats, no allocated seats, random ordering of travelers by the senior driver who shouted at everyone and was moving people around as he saw fit (due to personal preference of certain people over others). At a point when he was moving a Brazilian group from relatively more comfortable seats to the broken back row seats in order to accomodate some young Albanian females on their places, he shouted really rudely and visibly threatened to use physical violence. All in all the whole trip had the character of a Kusturica movie - exotic tragicomic Balkan experience.

Uncomfortable travels with the bus. There was a bus. We didn’t die. Bus took waaaaaaaaaaaay longer than planned (like 8 hours longer) Bus drivers didn’t speak English and were quite rude. Seats couldn’t incline There were no toilets We couldn’t pick other seats. Wouldn’t do it again.

The drivers would smoke inside the bus.

Horrible trip. The air conditioning worked and the seats were perfectly fine. Good room for luggage and bags. The trip was horrible, besides the part where we were more than six and a half hours delayed, the bus didn’t have a viable bathroom which meant you couldn’t pee for the now 13 hour trip. The chauffeur didn’t communicate anything and yelled when we tried to ask where we were on the trip. At one point all of the passengers were told to leave the bus for passport control, the bus actually drove off with all of the stuff, without any explanation and returned after approximately 15 minutes. When we finally did arrive we were dropped of at the side of a road, nowhere near Tirana centrum or a bus station again with no explanation as to where we were.

Let's face it: going to Albania on a night bus is not going to be an ecstatic experience. The Hafet Tours bus did manage to arrive in Tirana, albeit with an hour delay. (1) the bus has no bathroom, but it fortunately did stop multiple times for a pee stop; (2) the driver's assistant was responsible for collecting passports for the Montenegro, yelled at multiple people who were (understandably) sleeping at 02:00;.

Night bus from tirana to dubrovnik august 2024. The bus was clean and the driver spoke in english. It arrived ONE hour later. The . Due to the traffic we were stuck in a traffic jam for like 3hours. We were supposed to arrive 3:3am. And we arrived 7:50.

We got there! The drivers communicated well and felt safe. There are 4 boarder crossings and checkpoints were relatively quick from the driver “looking after” the border guards with snacks and drinks. We also arrived on time to the destination which, as most bus services that run late, was a pleasant surprise. The driver was chain smoking the whole way which made it difficult to breathe at some points. There was no toilet and on such a long journey makes it uncomfortable.

11 hours instead of 6,5. I didn’t like that the duration of the trip was not clear from the start. Border control takes a lot of time and adds to the total trip time and also the sea crossing on the ferry. Due to that we lost our booked bus from Tirana to our next destination.

Very disorganized and messy ride. Only that it got us to our destination (but 2 hours and a half late). To begin with, they arrived 45 minutes later that expected to the station, with absolutely no notification or information about the bus. When they arrived, none of the staff members spoke any English, making communication impossible. Once inside the bus, the staff members were extremely loud during the whole night and didn't turn off the light for most of the trip (again, this was a night bus). The bus driver smoked inside the bus several times, filling the whole bus with the smoke. There were more stops during the ride than expected which became more annoying due to the fact the we got to our destination 2 and a half hours later.

No one speaked a single word of english. Also they treat everyone very bad. Bus was not comfortable. Treatment. Seats.

There was no WiFi. The trip was suppose to take 6 hours and it took 9 hours. It took way longer than said.

Cranky smoking driver. He got us there fast. Driver was yelling to us in a Slavic language about something at border patrol. Eventually one person could translate but sir I'm not gonna understand you the 3rd time you yell the same thing in a language I don't speak. Also smoking while driving, WiFi didn't work.

Disaster. Behaviour of passengers, just a shame. They was talking loudly, shouting, drinking alcohol, drink, not respectful.

The worst experience ever! While on a bus, the wi-fi was available, poor internet, but available. The air conditioner was available during the trip. The drivers were very rude. They treated the travellers with disrespect. They did not provide information when they were asked regarding the approximate arrival and departure time. The seats were too close and there was no space for a decent travel. On the top of that, the seats were broken and I ended up squeezed in between. I purchased my ticket online. It didn't have a seat number on it, so I thought I could choose my seat. However, I was not allowed to do that, but was seated on a broken seat while the half of the bus was empty. Once I asked to be removed, the driver started a fight and I gave up. I would not recommend this service of Hafet Tours. And if there is another option, I will never use this service myself again if I don't have to. But if it is the only option and I will need to use it, I hope that the conditions would get better and the drivers nicer.

Terrible organization. We got there eventually. The bus was horrendously overbooked so we had to wait 30 minutes to even see if we were going to leave. Some passengers had to sit and travel the whole journey in the aisle which was completely unfair.

Not the best experience. The driver, rude and unhelpful, smoked inside the bus a few times which caused the bad smell in the bus. In the beginning, I could not lower the seat because the driver was sleeping on the last 5 seats, later when the driver changed he asked me to move somewhere else, even when my seat was up. Overall the trip was not pleasant at all.

cheap, simple and fast to travel. I did not know the bus did not leave you at Tirana bus station. So we had to walk almost 2 km. and then find a bus to arrive to the center. this is vital information to share. Also, air conditioner in a bus in July with more than 20 people is mandatory to remain on.

Busy and late. Driver was friendly and accommodating. Bus was over an hour late. This seems common in Albania.

Good trip from Dubrovnik to Tirana.

Driver was smoking the whole entire trip, every 10 minutes he would light up a cigarette. No windows were opened whilst he was smoking too. The bus was very delayed - it took 16 hours instead of 14. I ordered a taxi and paid $50 to pick us up from Dubrovnik bus station for 3:30am and unfortunately we missed it because we arrived closer to 5am. Limited food option stops, we were absolutely starving and had to survive on snacks. No where to charge your phone easily. All the people on the bus were also very loud and inconsiderate, phones were going off, many on phone calls. It was impossible to sleep. Never doing a bus trip like this again.

For Balkan Standards good. Bus was more or less punctual, with a maximum delay of around one hour. The drivers managed the curvy coastal roads good, but Ben if they were in poor condition. The WhatsApp Support was fast and reliable. IMPORTANT: The Pick Up Location in Tirana is just a curb next to a Gas Station, just go exactly to the Pil wait there, the bus will arrive. One on the drivers smoked, though not constantly.

The bus will get you from point A to point B, but expect it to be late on pickup and at destination. The bus got me to Dubrovnik - and there aren't many alternative options.. 1) Bus was late about 50mins to the pick up spot - according to the guy working at the nearby Xpressmart, this is normal - and in fact 50mins late is actually pretty good (it is often later than this). 2) Driver smokes on bus. 3) Long wait (many hours) at Montenegro - Croatia border (this has nothing to do with the bus though - this is just FYI for future travellers). The Albania - Montenegro border was smooth and fast - just give the bus conductor your passport and let him do his thing. 4) The bus pick up spot is literally just a random spot at a curb in Tirana. Just go to exactly where the pin is on Google Maps on your ticket.

Much more comfortable to return to Split than travelling in the high season. Drivers were polite and understood croatian. Helped me when I had additional questions from the customs. For future travellers - there is a caffee in Albania near the BOLV OIL where you can order coffee and spend you time awaiting bus. The stop is right closer to the caffee.

Chain smoking. The driver pestered the climate of the journey by continuous smoking!

It was an easy trip, comfortable because we could use 2 seats because there were 20 passengers only. All run smoothly. We arrived on timer. The bus arrived a little bit later.

unpunctual. The bus arrived late at the meeting point. It was a little dirty. The driver was smoking inside the bus. He made many stops to rest. had to be asked twice to turn on the air.

Tirana to Dubrovnik night ride. Driver was polite. Bus arrived 1h15 later than supposed to which saved us because we were also 5 minutes late. The email service was good: we informed them that we were 5 minutes late and they informed us that the bus was also late. Seats felt a bit dirty (but maybe just old) All the stops only accepted cash for buying something to eat/drink.

Prepare for an experience. They arrived in Dubrovnik on time, and we had frequent food and bathroom breaks. A true sense of community on board. I felt like I was part of a family and met many new friends while at the croatian customs control. The drivers were smoking for the entire 18.5 hours of the ride, with windows closed. There was no communication with passengers as to why we were stopping (passport check, bathroom break etc), and we stopped every 30 minutes (at least) for passengers and drivers to smoke. It did get us to our destination in the end (6 hours late), so that is all that matters. Just don’t plan on arriving on time or having any others plans for your arrival day.

Nobody was telling nothing. You are standing on the border with other passengers for a more then hour and nobody explains what is going on.. No toilet and air conditioning in the bus.

The worst experience of my life. The bus from tirana to split was supposed to take 12.5 hours. The bus ended up taking 22 hours. There was something with a girl on board being from turkey not having the right visa and we ended up being stuck at Croatia border for 8 hours while she was sat in Montenegro. The driver didn’t tell us at all what was going on. No one spoke English and the driver slept half the time and refused to keep us informed so we had no idea why we were sat on the side of the road for 8 hours. I was sweaty and tired and on a bus for 22 hours. Disgusting.

Everything as expected- the departure was on time - it was really organized- seats are uncomfortable - the route follows the coast full of curves making almost impossible to sleep - we arrived 1:30 hs late.

Old bus without toilet. Enough stops. We had second back seats. One of the drivers told ne to move seats when he should sleep in the back row.

It started one hour late, the stop in the border was for more than an hour. Should let us know in advance.

We get to our target location (Split). We didn‘t stop at ANY gas station all the way for toilet, stopped just 2 times at bus stations where the toilets were closed/locked at night (the drivers sure knew about that) ; so no toilet 12 hours for women especially…also i was feeling sick all the way because of the driving.

The driver stopped enough times and the driving was ok.

Constant smoking by a driver. One of the drivers was non-stop smoking cigarettes when he was driving. He did not open a window and therefore filled the bus with his smoke. As a non smoker with mild asthma this made the journey extremely uncomfortable. When the bus arrived at Dubrovnik station there was no proper ticket scanning or order it was just lots of yelling and telling certain people to sit or go to the back door. We were unfortunately placed in the front seats which made the smoking driver worse for us. The toilet on the bus was locked and unavailable for passengers. We were dropped off in Tirana on the side of the freeway not at the correct bus station which meant we could not catch any public transport to the centre of town. We had to hail a taxi on the side of the freeway to be able to get anywhere safely.

Solid Ride to Dubrovnik. The bus driver were really nice and happy to help with any problems. The delay of nearly 2 hours and the frequency of stops for little food and smoking breaks.

The bus broke down so we were 5 hours delayed and ended up missing our transfer in Tirana to Shkodër. This added to the cost of our trip as we needed to find a new ride and we missed a whole day in Shkoder. This was after multiple stops and a late pick up which also made the trip extremely long. Nothing was communicated to us either so when the bus broke we just stayed on the side of the road for a couple hours. Not to mention the bus was very hot and the drivers smoked the entire trip. Not a good experience.
