The Hotel Bus is a nice (maybe one of the nicest) options to travel overnight. The beds are comforable and the lenght of the beds are good. When traveling alone, I would not do it honestly. It’s a small bed and lying next to each other for 10+ hours is a bit strange and uncomfortabke I think. For couples or people traveling together I would reccommend!
We set off a little early from Sihanoukville and arrived an hour late to Siem Reap, which wasn’t a big issue as just slept on the bus. Great experience, would use again. Water, blanket, pillow, curtain all provided.
The individual bed was so thin, much more than other companies. The temperature is freezing and there is nothing than you can do with that.
Good thing is there is a power to plug and charge your phone and sometimes wifi, and the trip was relatively fast. But expensive for what you get.
The bus was more comfortable than expected given its small ‘double beds’ however the staff on the bus were very rude. They stopped only once for a toilet break on a 12hr journey but stopped constantly for picking up cargo. At one point I asked when the next toilet break would be and was told 5minutes followed by a lot of laughter, there was not another toilet break…
Very small and uncomfortable mattress for 2 people. Air con was too cold for the very small thin blanket they give you. Got about 3 hours sleep in total.
I don't know if I would advise it for solo travelers, I got lucky and didn't have to share the bed, but sharing that small bed with a stranger could have been a bit awkward, apart from that I would highly recommend it, on time, clean and good driver
No notification that the bus was delayed 1.5 hours until I walked up to check in. Also no note anywhere saying that it was a normal bus with seats for the first half and then we had a layover in PO for 30min before our bus with beds arrived.
