Good overall. First bus was very comfortable, they gave you a bottle of water, some biscuits and a blanket. It stopped once at a big venue that had different food stalls and bathroom (and if you had your ticket you could get a discount on food). Bus arrived early in the morning around 5 to a place that didn’t look much like a bus station, we were told the next bus wouldn’t come for another hour but we left within 30 minutes - you can also buy a shuttle service to your hostel/hotel on Koh Samui here but it is a bit pricier then when you arrive. As we arrived at the pier we just followed the crowd guessing that was the right way to go. The ferry took a while and we arrived later than planned but there was practically no one on it so you could lay down on the seats and such.
First of all...we were ready to depart but somehow nobody informed us.
Our departure time was at 12:30pm. Time was passing by and nobody informed us.
There were these 3 foreigners running inside the pier and I was wondering why. They told us that the pier was not working. The motor wouldn't start.
In the end there were 2 speedboats. First one came and picked up people who had to leave to the airport. Afterwards came another speedboat.
Our arrival time was supposed to be at 13:00 pm but unfortunately we arrived at around 3 pm.
It would have been better if they told us earlier so we would know what's going on.
But the boat was really fast :)
I had to go to a ticket office down the road from the pier to check in, even though I had an email confirmation. We waited at the sign for Samui but missed our boat because it left from a different location on the pier which was not labeled and we did not see staff to ask for help.
