First class to jaisalmer was average, train was old and dirty, beds comfortable, train was jerky so hard to sleep, air con blasted the room making it cold, lights too bright on top bunk, very old carriage, not worth the money previous journey in 2nd class was a lot better.
Choosing trains in India is always a good option. I had a second-class ticket from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer. In my experience with many trains across India, regardless of whether you book first or second class, the quality depends more on how new the coach is — some are better or worse simply due to their condition. Newer coaches are brighter and more comfortable, which I prefer. The bathrooms are always basic but functional. Overall, traveling by train in India is a safe and reliable experience.
The staff was really Bad. We booked 3 beds, we decided to put our luggages in one of them and we go togerher in the other 2 beds. But the staff has accepted more people without reservation, and they sitted in our bed, so we paid the bed. for someone else..
The bus never came (they said it was canceled or delayed) so we had to take another one which took us by miracle with the same ticket. As it was not the same bus, it was crowded, 4 people on a sleeper...
