The start point was not a company called Persada but some other travel agency that wasn’t referenced on the receipt and the driver of the other minibus that I was arriving with from Pakbara had to call the number given on the receipt to find out where to drop me.
Instead of 15.00 we left at 16.30, then we drove for 15’ and then returned to HatYai because they had forgotten 2 passengers. So we only left at 17.15. Arrival in Penang was at 23.15 is read of 19.30…
The driver was not paying enough attention to the traffic. He was contantly on his phone (tiktok, gambling etc.) while driving on the highway. Also he did not speak any English so we could not communicate properly. I also wish we would have been told that there is an additional fee of 20baht per person when crossing the border - it was fine, but we did not expect it and also did not understand at the moment when the driver was asking for it at the border. I would have preferred to know about this upfront, so I would not feel awkward at the border.
Bus was 30mins late for pick up and 1,5 hours late from arrival

The van came with 45 min delay. As we started from a random hotel in Hat yai and not from a bus station there was no one to ask about the schedule. I contacted the Billion star office but they never replied. After the van arrived it took another 1 hour to start from Hat yai. Finally we reached Georgetown with 1h45min delay.
Further the bus driver asked for 20 baht / person for “the border”. He never gave it to anyone. Seems to be scam.
The van itself was comfortable, with AC and not overbooked.
