Einchecken war einfach, Bus war komfortabel und es gab eine kleine Flasche Wasser und ein Lunchpaket ( Muffin und Trinkpäckchen Apfelsaft ) auf der Fahrt. Sind überpünktlich an der Fähre angekommen. Die Fahrüberfahrt ging auch gut vonstatten, so daß wir pünktlich auf Koh Samui angekommen sind.
Negativ ist das man ohne information am Fährhafen abgesetzt. Erklärt sich dann im Laufe der Zeit durch Durchsagen. Aber wäre interessant im Vorfeld zu wissen, ob man nochmals einchecken muss und wann die Fähre ablegt.
War bisher die beste Busfahrt in Thailand. Das Fahrzeug war wirklich VIP. Die Sitze waren so bequem, sodass wirklich jeder gut schlafen konnte. Es wurden Decken,Essen und Trinken verteilt. Gerne wieder
All in all it was a good experience, but our ship had some issues so we were one hour late. The ride with the bus was good, the seats were quiet comfortable.
Habe den Nachtbus um 21 Uhr ab Bangkok nach Koh Samui gebucht. Positiv: Man ist wirklich nur in einen Bus und dann in eine Fähre gestiegen und musste nicht zig mal umsteigen und ewig warten wie das bei anderen Unternehmen so ist. Außerdem war am Pier in Koh Samui ein Shuttle Service der einen für 150 Baht direkt zum Hotel gefahren hat. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett. Negativ: ich konnte im Bus nicht schlafen weil es halt nur ein normaler Bus ist bei dem die Rückenlehne weit nach hinten gehen, ich hätte halt gerne auch die Füße hochgemacht. Und der Umstieg ist nicht in Surat Thani sondern in Amphoe Mueang Chumphon. Das wusste ich vorher nicht, daher ist die Fähre erst in Ko Tao dann in Koh Phangan dann in Koh Samui gewesen. Außerdem muss man sein Gepäck sowohl vom Ticket Office zur Stelle von der der Bus abfährt als auch am Pier lange tragen.
Der Bus war okay, aber etwas kalt. Der Charger am Sitz zum Handy laden hat nicht funktioniert und in Surat Thani wurde versucht, uns überteuerte Taxi-Tickets zu verkaufen. Als ich dankend ablehnte, reagierte die Frau passiv-aggressiv und herablassend. Auf Koh Samui bin ich trotz all dem gut angekommen. Insgesamt wars okay.
The operation charged with handling the transfer from the bus to the ferry was a clip joint targeting young tourists, and ended up delaying the trip by 3.5 hours with no information and contemptuous behaviour.
The Montanathip bus was great, the transfer was shambolic, and the ferry was great.
Went well. Instructions said arrive at Khao San Road latest 8.30pm for 9.30pm departure. In fact they started checking people in at 7pm and the bus left at 8.45pm - if you arrived at 8.30 it would be chaos as the office was packed with people waiting for later departures. VIP bus was comfortable but old, no charger sockets despite a pre-recorded announcement that they were in everything seat. Other pre-recorded information was clear and helpful (journey times, planned stops etc). Rest stop at ~2am was clean and modern. Ferry was OK, definitely recommend motion sickness pills (and the sea was calm). They wanted 200 bhat for "VIP" ferry seating (extra even with VIP bus ticket and very few seats - sold out very fast). I didn't pay so can't comment). All went smoothly enough.
