I felt I was shuffled about like a bit of cattle. 1st bus was a partybus, not fitted for overnight travel (not even USB charger).
They stopped us at midnight for dinner at a very dodgy place. Filthy, people not welcoming, pushy for sales and overpriced. I didn't eat, too dirty and noodles looked like they had been dead for some time.
Then we had to wait at Surat for next bus for1 hour in the very early hours. And That bus should go for scrap: old, dirty, rickety and A/C leaking all over us.
Ferry was ok luckily, as was the last van to my place, although driver was a tad rude.
NOT a journey I'recommend. Going through Chumpon with Lomphraya is a totally different experience.
We were left in the middle of no where early in the morning when we were to transfer to another bus. No one knew what to do and how long we were waiting. So it was confusing and stressful and tiring. Everything was absolutely on time! The personnel is great and cheerful. The bus is a bit old but still very comfortable for the long trip. So I am satisfied. Especially if thinking about a dirty cheap price :)
the stopover for food was at 23.30 h. Why not doing this earlier and let people go to sleep ? Instead it is done half way through leaving just under 5 hours.
But most of all: the temperature in the bus was far too cold. Put on 3 T-shirts and a jacket plus the blanket from the bus and still felt cold !!!
It was great until the bus broke down half way through the journey. The bus broke down at midnight and we had to change buses. Luckily, there was another bus waiting so we didn't have to wait long, but me and my partner had to sit separately due to the bus being full already, the seats were not as comfortable, and we didn't get the meal that was supposed to come with our ticket. I understand these things happen but it was a bit of a disappointment.
my experience was amazing! i’ll definitely be booking with this company again. the seats were so comfy and big, there were chargers at the top of your head & it was an overall good experience. the only downside was that the aircon was too cold so make sure you wear warm clothes!!
the driver blamed us for the fact that our 10 month old baby cried all the time even though he only cried from time to time and I lost my airpods I wish I could get them back
