O Recaro Transport
Dvije glavne stvari koje putovanje kombijem čine tako privlačnim su širok izbor odredišta i pristupačne cijene. Ne nude svi kombiji vrhunsku udobnost, dovoljno prostora za noge ili prtljažnik, ali ove dvije točke kompenziraju. Osim toga, uvijek su kombiji ti koji uvode nove rute do odredišta u usponu, utirući put za velike autobusne prijevoznike ako je potrebno ili ostaju jedino prijevozno sredstvo koje vas tamo može dovesti. Vrlo često kombiji nude bržu uslugu od velikih autobusa, fleksibilniji vozni red i lakše se prilagođavaju potrebama putnika u smislu rasporeda – ako postoji privremeni rast potražnje zbog dugih vikenda ili državnih praznika, kombiji dodaju više vozila u svoju dnevnu flotu lakše od drugih operatera. Prednosti putovanja kombijem
- Kombi može biti jedini način da dođete do nekih od najudaljenijih destinacija, manjih gradova ili sela, koja nisu povezana ni velikim autobusima ni vlakovima.
- Kombiji vas mogu odvesti i na neke otoke koji su s kopnom povezani velikim trajektima koji ne voze velike autobuse, ali primaju i kombije.
- Zbog manje veličine u usporedbi s velikim autobusima, kombiji su lakši za manevriranje na cesti. To ponekad rezultira kraćim vremenom putovanja, osobito ako vaše odredište nije daleko.
- Iako kombiji imaju službenu stanicu na ruti, mogu vas iskrcati i na prikladnijem mjestu – nema potrebe ići na terminal, samo pitajte svog vozača. Imajte na umu da to nije uvijek moguće, ali u mnogim slučajevima oni će surađivati. Može vam uštedjeti i vrijeme i novac koji biste inače potrošili odlazeći s terminala pješice ili taksijem.
Nedostaci putovanja kombijem
- Kombiji koji primaju više putnika mogu se činiti prilično skučenim. Očekujte ograničen prostor za noge i laktove. Neki kombiji ograničavaju prtljagu na jednu kartu za jedan komad. Ako imate više torbi, kofera ili ruksaka, možda ćete morati kupiti posebnu kartu za svoju prtljagu, što putovanje čini dvostruko skupljim.
- Ne voze svi kombiji prema rasporedu. Na određenim rutama kombiji kreću samo kada su puni. Provjerite to kod svog operatera prije kupnje karte, inače biste mogli čekati puno dulje od očekivanog dok se kombi ne napuni.
- Ako u nekim drugim prijevoznim sredstvima ima više nesavjesnih vozača nego u kombijima, mi toga nismo svjesni. Neke tvrtke u svoja vozila ugrađuju jedinice za kontrolu brzine, no nije rijedak slučaj da se čuje kako ova jedinica pišti tijekom cijele vožnje, a da vozač na to ne obraća pozornost. Uvijek zapamtite da zakopčate pojas dok putujete kombijem, iako ćete ponekad morati istražiti kako biste otkrili gdje vam je sigurnosni pojas.
- Za one koji su skloni bolesti kretanja, postoji dobar savjet: uzmite lijek pola sata prije putovanja kombijem, osobito ako vaša ruta uključuje zavojite dionice. Veća je vjerojatnost da ćete osjećati mučninu od kretanja ako putujete kombijem nego autobusom.

Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication between 12go and the fact that pick up from your hotel is included in ticket price. So we paid money to travel 20mins to get to the 'pick up' location which was slightly frustrating.

MARCIA DSome past reviews got me worried but this specific trip was good. The van would leave PP to Port Barton at 8:00am. I arrived at the Rocaro terminal around 7:15 am, they called someone, put me in an empty van, and drove me to a second van further up. This one had 4 other travelers inside. There was a quick stop for snacks/bathroom and soon we arrived in P. Barton. The trip was around 2 hours. It gets a bit bumpy sometimes but nothing too bad. Also, the driver was never too fast or reckless. In fact, he was super polite and helpful.

Joy DWas nervous after reading some of the reviews but we had a great experience! Nice clean van, wasn't full, good music playing and didn't hit any dogs. The crew was very helpful and nice. We got in about an hour earlier then expected. They do drive a little crazy but nothing you wouldn't expect if you've been to southern Asia before

Magnus RPro’s: The transport arrived 20 mns before as scheduled at the hotel in PP.
Con’s: The van was crowded, no safety belts. The driver drove like a maniac! Dangerous driving to pass other vehicles, in curves, in the villages on the highway. The Recaro should take more care about traffic safety instead of speed.

Catherine SGood trip. Just a little worried about exceeding the loading capacity of the vehicle. We could clearly hear squeaking/creaking sounds throughout the journey with every turn and bump along the road. That is something that should be checked and attended to to help ensure passenger safety.

Ralph WThe driver drove way too fast everywhere. hit a dog along the way. Because the driver is driving so fast, you are shaken back and forth during the ride so you cannot sleep and you are shaken back and forth. The van we were transported in was completely full and almost no room for your legs.
Advice: pay a little bit more for a larger bus and hopefully also a safer fare.

Marie DWe had several vans during our stay in Palawan. I think they are pretty much all the same : a lot of people in it (they add a "fake" chair to fit more people), too cold air conditionning, crazy driving... And sometimes also they are late (yet, not in this one). They give you no information about the place where they drop you at the end (I had the feeling the "final stop" depends on their mood/how well you negociate with them). The places behind the driver can be reserved, but they reserve it for 4 people as they are only 2 "nice" spots.
So for this ride, this way fine, but I almost believe this was luck... !

Amanda JThe van departed on time and was comfortable, professional etc. My only objection is that I paid to go to the airport and when we arrived at the Puerto Princessa Terminal, we were told that it was the last stop and that we’d have to pay a taxi. He said we didn’t pay enough. Only upon objection from myself and other passengers who booked directly to the airport did the driver agree. It felt very disrespectful to be hustled like that, even if it is all part of the game.

Piotr KOne star for bringing me to destination. Second for being on time (even before, actually). As for the cons... for the whole way I (and many others) was terrified by how the crazy driver was acting on the road. Believe me, I'm not scared of speed and difficult roads etc. and have driven in dozens of crazy places (as well cars as motorcycles) and have never been so shocked by the idiot behind the wheel. Going with 14 people inside, all the luggage on the roof(!) like he was racing for life. Sick man - one day he's gonna hurt somebody. No exaggeration at all.

Peter TOur plane was delayed several hours and we couldn't reach the airport in time for the last van. But after a phone call to recaro during a transfer in the airport they agreed to wait for us. We where picked up as agreed and transported to the destination the same day.
Very grateful for the good service as we otherwise would have been forced to stay overnight near the airport.

Myrna MI got picked up at the hotel as booked, but this was all thanks to my hotel receptionist as he called the company to reconfirm and they did not seem to be aware of the booking, so basically if my receptionist did not call, I would still be waiting in the lobby.. also the van was stuffed including grocerys and stuff

However since we needed onwards transportation from Port Barton to St. Vincente the driver was very helpfull to arrange a boat for us - at a slightly increased rate compared to the "normal" fair though.
