The journey Stung-Treng to Ventiane is a 19h long trip. We took 3 different vehicles, one to the border with Laos, the second from the border (Lao side) to Pakse, the last one a night bus to Ventiane. The first two vehicles were ok, standard vans. The second van was waiting for us on the Lao side once we passed the police checkpoint. Just one remark about the night bus, it was a poor mattress and bedsheets, not tall enough to lay down straight, with the bed at the back next to the noisy ventilation of the bus. The night bus can definitely be improved, that was the poorest I've traveled in
