Although it was worth the extra expense to have a private room with two comfortable beds, the room itself was a bit worn, cigarette smoke rolled in periodically, and service was minimal. We got a knock on the door midday for “rice” and coffee, but the coffee was a concentrate served out of a reused plastic bottle into a thin plastic cup that seemed close to melting after hot water was poured in. Not what anyone would call first class service! That said, the train arrived on time, we got a knock on the door to warn us and the views outside our window made an 11 hour trainride all worthwhile.
