Thai Air Asia estimates at Chiang Mai’s true worth as an important transportation hub in nearest future. The airline is about to use Chiang Mai as the northern gateway up to the 2015 year, when a region ushers in the AEC era.

Air Asia is going to enlarge its influence on Mekong region and China by increase flights from Chiang Mai in these directions. Bangkok Airways also intend to expand services in Chiang Mai. Air China will offer charters to Chiang Mai from Beijing until the end of this year.
