Today, the governor of Chon Buri province signed an order for the closure of "additional businesses" until the situation improves.
For the seaside resort this includes, most notably, the closure of water parks and swimming pools in some hotels and condominiums.
Both Pattaya's major water parks, Ramayana Water Park and Cartoon Network Amazone will stay closed. Many upscale resorts also closed their pools – if you are staying in a hotel you will have to rely on the sea for your dose of swimming.
Gathering on all beaches in Chonburi province is discouraged between 8 pm and 6 am.
During the day, the majority of the beaches are open to public though Haad Nang Ram and Hat Sai Khao, two popular beaches outside Pattaya in Sattahip, do not accept visitors till April, 1.
Beach chairs vendors were allowed to go on providing beach chairs but chairs should be placed at least 1.5 m away from one another, the statemnet says.
Some good news finally – golf courses are allowed to stay open though clubhouses, tournaments, contests and meeting style activities are prohibited.
