Phuket, Pattaya to Get Three Marriott Hotels between 2020–2024

Thailand to get three new Marriott hotels which together will add 1546 new rooms to the country's hotel rooms fund – the respective agreement has been recently signed between Marriott and Asset World Corporation (AWC), one of Thailand's leading integrated lifestyle real-estate groups,

The three new hotels will open between 2020 and 2024 in Phuket and Pattaya: a 248-room Courtyard by Marriott in Phuket, while a 900-room Marriott Marquis hotel and a 398-room JW Marriott hotel are planned for Pattaya.

Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town is expected to welcome its first guests in late 2020. The hotel will be located in a historical neighbourhood of Phuket Town, surrounded by characteristic Chino-Portuguese mansions.

JW Marriott The Pattaya Beach Resort & Spa and Pattaya Marriott Marquis Hotel both will sit in Central Pattaya in yet-to-be-built AWC’s huge mixed-use development similar to Bangkok's Asiatique The Riverfront. Besides almost 1,300 rooms, the two hotels will feature 11 F&B outlets and 10,000 sqm of convention, event and meeting spaces.

According to AWC's President, Marriott International’s powerful global distribution platform and its large-scale loyalty program – Marriott Bonvoy – will help attract travellers to the properties. For Marriott, this new partnership is important for "expanding its diverse portfolio of hospitality and lifestyle projects in Thailand and beyond.”
