The highlight of the month is Loy Krathong festival – one of the most colourful festivals of the year in Thaialnd. This year it falls on November 11 and is celebrated across the country.
From 6 to 10 November the Historical Park of Phimai in Nakhon Ratchasima invites visitors to enjoy the annual festival celebrating the granduer of one of the largest Khmer complexes in Thailand with light-and-sound cultural show.
In Bangkok, Golden Mount temple hosts the longest running temple fair in Bangkok between November 4 and 13. On November, 12, there is a ceremony of changing the robes of Emeral Buddha from rainy season to winter season in Wat Phra Kaew.
The famous Lopburi's Monkey Buffet Party falls on November, 24 this year, though some may find the traditional Elephant Round-Up in Surin more appealing (November 15–17).
The annual River Kwai Bridge Week kicks off on November, 23 and lasts till December, 2. It will also feature light-and-sound show and fireworks.
In the North, Wat Rong Khun, aka the White Temple, hosts a spectacular Wat Rong Khun Fest with yet one more amazing light-and-sound show set on the background of the famous temple. The fest will last the whole month till December, 23.
Pattaya will be the place for two great events, too. The first one is the annual Pattaya Boat Show in the Ocean Marina Club featuring a scattering of elegant yachts, cars and other luxury products on November 21–24. On November 29–30, the much loved Pattaya International Fireworks Festival returnes to the city for the second time during this year.
