While in the second edition of Michelin of Thailand featured the best dining venues of Phuket and Phang Nga, the only restaurant to be awarded one star was Pru restaurant in Phuket. The remaining 14 restaurants in both cities including the famous venues of Raya and Chomchan received Bib Gourmand awards for being good value for money. In addition to Methavalai Sorndaeng and Pru, other new one-starred additions were Le Du, Gaa, Canvas, R.Haan, Saawan, Sorn, Ruen Panya, and Suan Thip.
Dining venues in Bangkok's neighbouring provinces of Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon and Samut Prakan were also covered in the second edition.
Michelin Restaurant Ratings Come to Chiang Mai
News in AsiaLast year's second edition of Michelin Guide in Thailand was expanded to include two Southern provinces, Phuket and Phang Nga, in addition to the capital, Bangkok. And now it is Chiang Mai's turn to be featured in the third edition of the guide that is due to be released by the end of the year.
