Additional Trains on Four Routes for Holi Period in India Introduced

The Indian Railways are launching four special trains from Delhi to different destinations during Holi festival. This year, Holi falls on Wednesday, March, 20 and Thursday, March, 21.

A Holi gift from IRCTC for locals and visitors for this festive season is a launch of four special Holi trains. They will serve the most crowded routes between Delhi and Barauni, Pune, Patna, and Kamakhya.

New Delhi to Barauni (Bihar) train will run from March 12 to March 22 every Tuesday and Friday leaving New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) at 7.25 pm arriving to Barauni Junction the next day at 7.45 pm. In the opposite direction, trains will run between March 13 and March 23 on Wednesday and Saturday, departure time from Barauni – 9.35 pm, arrival time to NDLS – the next day at 10.10 pm.

Trains to Pune will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station (NZM) between March, 12–26 every Tuesday at 9.35 pm reaching Pune in 24 hours. From Pune to Delhi, trains are scheduled between March, 14–28 on Thursday at 5.15 am.

Patna will be served by trains from Anand Vihar Terminal railway station (ANVT) between March, 16–23 every Saturday with departures from Delhi at midnight (arriving to Pune at 6 pm), and at 7.35 pm – from Pune (arriving to Delhi at 2.20 pm).

Finally, also from Anand Vihar, there will be trains to Kamakhya leaving on Wednesday at 11.45 pm from March 13 through March, 20, arriving to Kamakhya the next afternoon at 2.45 pm; and from Kamakhya to Delhi – on Saturday between March, 16 and 23 leaving at 5.35 am and arriving at 6.15 pm the same day.
