Direct Flights to Connect Nanchang and Chiang Mai

AirAsia will soon lauch durect flights between Nanchang in China and Chiang Mai in Thailand. The route will be operated by Thai AirAsia under FD IATA code by an Airbus A320 aircraft.

There will be four flights a week – on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. From Chiang Mai, there will be a morning flight leaving at 10.20 am and arriving to Nanchang at 2.25 pm. The return flight will take off from the Nanchang Changbei International Airport at 3.10 pm and land at the Chiang Mai International Airport at 5.55 pm. Flight duration is about three hours.

Nanchang is the capital and the largest city of the southeastern Jiangxi Province in China. The history of the city dates back 2,200 years to the times of the Western Han Dynasty. The city straddles the Gan River. Some of the prominent attractions of Nanchang include one of the Four Great Towers of China, the 7th century Tengwang Pavillion; the largest fresh water lake in China, the Poyang Lake which attracts bird-watching enthusiasts from far and wide; and one of the tallest Ferris wheels in the world, the 160-m Star of Nanchang.

Chiang Mai is the largest city in the northern Thailand and is often referred to as a cultural capital of the country. Boasting rich Lanna heritage and enjoying balmy climate throughout the year, Chiang Mai offers a variety of experiences for tourists – from sightseeing and visiting ancient temples to mountain trekking, to tea and coffee tasting, to hot springs spas.
