After suspending the launching the first high-speed train in Thailand, the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) had finally allowed it to move forward.

Now the project is in the second phase. According to the plans, the Bangkok Phitsanulok high-speed train will run in 2024 year, Bangkok Chiang Mai – in 2026 year. The high-speed train will reduce the travel time between the primary and the northern capital up to three hours. The price of such trip will be 1,074 baht. For the convenience of passengers, the high-speed train will be connected with another transportation systems.

 The cost of such a large-scale project will be about 380 billion baht.
