The fair themed 'The Colors of the Green Season' aims at attracting more visitors to Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat provinces located on the eastern coast of the Gulf of Siam.
All the four provinces are already well-known tourist destinations offering a huge array of tourist attractions and activities. The fair makes visitors acquainted with both the most notable and off the beaten track attractions in the region, local cuisine, traditions and products. There are cultural performances and shows and a big sale of special promotions on hotel rooms and special tour packages in all the four seaside provinces.
The visitors are invited to plan a trip to the Eastern Seaboard all year round including the official rainy season as a winning geographical position of the region ensures good weather almost any time of the year. Best destinations to check in each province are:
Chonburi: Koh Larn, a tropical island escape from Pattaya, 7 km off shore with unspoiled beaches, clear water and developed infrustructure; Koh Si Chang, an island reachable from Si Racha pier which retains much of its traditional charm and boasts some beautiful temples, vistas and a secret beach.
Rayong is famous for its Koh Samet, a true island paradise easily reached from Ban Phe. Expect white sand beaches, turcuoise waters and slow living.
Trat is a gateway to a treasure box of islands including Koh Chang, Koh Kut and Koh Mak each of which possesses its own unbeatable charm and features dense jungle, cristal clear waterfalls and idyllic beaches.
Chanthaburi's most famous beach is Chao Lao which remains almost totally unknown to foreign visitors.
