Registration Open for Pattaya Marathon 2018

One of the most popular sporting events of the Thai calendar, the annual Pattaya Marathon 2018 will be held for the 27th time this year on Sunday, July 15.

This year program includes the full marathon – 42.195k m; 21.100 km half-marathon; 10.550 km quarter marathon; 10.550 km wheelchair quarter marathon; and 3.7 km fun run. The starting times are 3am, 5.10am, 5.45am, 6.20am and 6.30am respectively.

Full marathon will begin from Central Festival Pattaya Beach Shopping Centre on Beach Road while half- and quarter marathon will start from Bali Hai pier and wheelchair quarter marathon and fun run – from Dolphin roundabout in North Pattaya. The runners will then head south, passing by the Walking Street and Bali Hai pier, a 2-km rather strenious stretch of the route on Pratanmak Hill, Jomtien, Chayapruek Road and Sukhumwit Road before returning to Pattaya Beach Road.

The live registration is already open and online registration for overseas athlets will come soon.
Last year, around 10,000 runners hit Pattaya streets. Following a several years' tradition with African runners showing the best results, Gilbert Muge from Kenya won the full marathon.
