Rainfalls till mid-July will still be rather irregular and largerly scattered around the whole country. These two months will be the driest ones of the whole wet season. The weather in the major tourist seaside destinations will favour those who have planned their vacation during this time. In the north of the country the rainy season will last till mid-October while in the south it will continue to be quite wet almost till Christmas.
Several heavy storms are most probable in the northern (Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai) and northeastern (Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Nong Khai, Mukdahan) regions in August and September though they will pass through the whole country. The storms may cause flashfloods and overflow of rivers worthening road conditions mainly in the upper part of the country. While total rainfall this year is going to be 5%-10% below average, the southwestern part of the country including the Andaman Coast from Phuket and Phang Nga to Krabi and Trang on the contrary will see 5%-10% more rain.

Thailand has officially entered the rainy season on May 26th and the weather forecasts say at least a couple of tropical storms are expected to hit the country this year.
