Transport Co Ltd to Launch New Bus Routes between Thailand and Laos

New international bus routes will link Thai airports with some of the most popular tourist destinations in Laos later this year.

Thai Transport Co International Ltd. has reached an agrement with the airport authorities thus making new direct routes between several Thai airports and destinations in Laos possible.

Currently there are three routes planned: Udon Thani airport – Vang Vieng; Ubon Ratchathani airport – Pakse; and Nan airport – Luang Prabang. The Udon Thani airport–Vang Vieng bus ticket will cost THB320 with about 7 hours necessary to complete a 288 km journey, including the time spent at the Nong KhaiVientiane border crossing. 

At the moment there are quite a few international bus routes linking destinations in Bangkok, Northern and Northeastern Thailand to various cities and places in Laos, including BangkokVientiane; BangkokPakseChiang MaiLuang Prabang; Chiang RaiBokeo; LoeiLuang Prabang; Nong KhaiVientiane; Khon KaenVientiane; Nakhon Phanom – Thakaek; MukdahanSavannakhet. There are also routes between Udon Thai and Vang Vieng as well as Ubon Ratchathani and Pakse, but both operate from the respective bus stations in Thailand.
