Suvarnabhumi Airport, one of the two international airports near Bangkok and one of the biggest in Southeast Asia, is the major hub for Bangkok Airways which carried more than 60 mln passengers last year to 50 international destinations. The airline company also serves the flights from other airports, adding new ones regularly.
New daily flights are to be performed by Bangkok Airways between Chiang Mai and Hanoi taking 70 passengers on board with travel time about 2 hours. This destination becomes third in Vietnam after Bangkok-Danang and Bangkok-Phu Quoc which started in May 2016 and October 2017 respectively. The promotional one-way ticket to Chiang Mai is $108.60 and return $192.40 until the end of June the current year.
The number of flights to Vientiane from Bangkok has been increased since March 25 this year. Now flights are operated twice a day. The new flight leaves Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok at 17.35 and is on the route for less than one hour and a half. The return flight sets off at 19.35 with the same flying time both capable of carrying 138 passengers. The flights are performed by Airbus A319.
