Spokesperson Urewan Taonoi says people will be allowed to launch krathongs as usual. She noted that all the parks and Chao Phraya riverside zones normally used for this activity will be open. These include Lumphini Park. The parks will open until 24:00 to ensure all comers have time to float their krathongs.

The team also notes that Chiang Mai might be the best location to see khom loy sky lanterns as the authorities there say this activity will be allowed this evening and tomorrow evening.
