Phang Sophee was the eighth calf born at the popular elephant camp and botanical gardens in the last six months. The latest birth brought the total number of elephants here up to 80. Mahouts at the camp say four more elephants are pregnant.
At Nong Nooch’s party, the calf elephants were presented while some of the adult elephants took part in a parade to mark the auspicious occasion. 12GO ASIA says this 700 acre park and gardens is one of Pattaya’s most visited tourist attractions and is just 20kms from Beach Road.

The celebrations on Friday marked the birth of Phang Sophee the day before. The abbot of Samakkee Banphot Temple was on hand for the christening of the new arrival.
